Been here before but not for a few years. It was part of our 40th wedding anniversary so we thought an ideal time to revisit here. The location is obviously its big selling point right on the Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Its second selling point is its staff who could not be more welcoming and friendly. It really did make the occasion - check in, the restaurants, the bar - they were all great! And a nice touch too with a card in our room on arrival. Nice touch, thank you! Had a front room overlooking the water. We had dinner in La Vista which we hadn’t been to before. A couple of minutes walk from the main hotel which might not suit everyone. Bit more casual than the Grill restaurant. But right beside the loch and a small marina. Food was really nice. Had chowder, oysters, and a fantastic juicy steak. Cocktails in the lovely bar. My only gripe is the 4pm check in and a 10am check in. It would be much better if it was 3pm and 11am but there we go. Really enjoyed it nonetheless.

“Absolutely perfect weekend stay for my husband’s 60th”

We had a great welcome from the minute we arrived, all staff were very pleasant. We paid for a loch view room which is well worth it. The Cameron Grill food was excellent and the staff took time to speak to us and ask about our day - nice touch. The Spa is beautiful. The Tavern bar has a great atmo… lisää

The Tavern bar has a great atmosphere and the cocktails in the Scott’s Bar are very good. Cameron House holds a special place in our heart

“Afternoon tea - expected better”

Visited Cameron House for a special occasion afternoon tea. At £50 a head this is top end prices and sadly it didn't deliver a top end experience. Visited Cameron House for a special occasion afternoon tea. At £50 a head this is top end prices and sadly it didn't deliver a top end experience. Our waiter was very friendly but it felt like they were a bit short staffed and things just didn't work as smoothly as you might expect - we didn't have enough tea cups for everyone on the table and things took a long time to arrive. The sandwiches and savouries were just fine. The scones were nice but some of the clotted cream was frozen solid and had to be replaced. The cakes were nice enough without being particularly memorable. The setting is stunning but the overall experience needs to be better to justify the high price.
