Unexpected lovely short break at Loch Lomond Waterfront lodges. Great weather was a bonus. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a few peaceful days away.

This is the perfect gorgeous spot to enjoy Loch Lomond and to access The West Highland Way for hiking. Our family loved it!!

It’s a nice place to stay. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The lodge was fully equipped, and we enjoyed being there. The only negative was the people next door to us in No 11 were constantly allowing their two small dogs to wander off the leish to the point they entered our lodge, we’re eating… lisää

The only negative was the people next door to us in No 11 were constantly allowing their two small dogs to wander off the leish to the point they entered our lodge, we’re eating our dogs food, and their presence was causing him distress. Please word the ‘keep dogs on a leish around the lodges’ part of the rule book more strongly. Thanks

“Poorly equiped shepherds huts and dreadful customer service.”

A lovely clean site with stunning views but a few things that spoiled my break there with friends. We were staying in a shepherds hut. Hut3 On a self catering break with a full fridgee our fridge stopped working, when we reported it to management they left a replacement fridge lying outside our lodge expecting us to remove the old fridge and put in the new fridge. The replacement fridge didn't fit into the place where the faulty fridge was as it was too wide....management didn't want to know. They said there were no staff on duty to look into this at the weekend and we would have to leave the fridge sitting out on the floor of our hut. We said that was unacceptable as there was already barely any storage available and we couldn't afford to sacrifice any floor space in our tiny hut. Management didn't want to know. There was no storage in our hut because the bed was so heavy we couldn't lift it up to put stuff underneath...the tv and the headboard would have stopped the bed fully opening even if we could have lifted it. No cupboards to put your clothes in, no wardrobes...almost like a tiny caravan. Plenty of room on the walls to mount storage, but they've not utilised the available headroom very well. We spent 3 nights there living out of a suitcase with a fridge sitting on our floor. The shepherds huts are like ovens in the hot weather, but the management solution is to provide a cheap oscillating tower fan when air conditioning is desperately required. All in all we witnessed poor customer service and paid good money for a shepherds hut that was less than adequately equiped for a 3 night stay....I won't be back.
