We were a group of 6 "older" ladies who travelled from Glasgow to Peterhead to hopefully see the northern lights but un unfortunately the weather didn't allow this. We were booked into the hotel and decided to stay in and we are glad we did. The hotel was spotless in every area. The staff were the most loveliest people you could ever meet and they made us feel most welcome. Rooms were very clean and bright with the most comfiest of beds (great for our old bones 😀) with a bath tub and a shower in all our rooms. Food was just to die for, a great choice on the menu which we all ate every bit. Breakfast was the best ever too. The entertainment was amazing, really enjoyable, it had our toes tapping from the first song.... Would we go back? ABSOLUTELY 💯 Tyvm from the Kelly table.

“Another great break at the Waterside”

Another lovely break at the Waterside. The staff always go above and beyond for guests and are very understanding and accommodating about complex needs and last minute requests. The food is good quality as well the entertainment. We love our visits here.

Had stopped going to Britannia hotels as found them pretty rundown visited the Waterside for an overnight stay as part of Loch Lomond Travel coach trip. On arrival they were well organised with room/key allocation followed by option to secure dining room table specific individual group and not large table often used to lump all coach guests together. Room was clean had all the required amenities including a fridge. Meal was partly self-service but nice as was breakfast. Didn't use the spa facilities,it looked ok Entertainment at night good but bit loud for people wanting to sit and chat. One criticism would be while there is no need for formal dress code it was not appropriate for construction workers to be sitting in lounge bar area in workwear then other having to use the seats. All of the staff are fantastic happy workers make for happy guests my first coach trip and won't be my last

“Nice hotel with friendly staff”

Nice enough hotel but a bit out of the way. My room was excellent with a fridge, double and single bed and was very cosy and clean. We went for Hogmanay so stayed for 3 nights as part of a coach trip. The breakfast was good but the queues were very long with 4 coaches in. The evening meals were… lisää

Nice enough hotel but a bit out of the way. My room was excellent with a fridge, double and single bed and was very cosy and clean. We went for Hogmanay so stayed for 3 nights as part of a coach trip. The breakfast was good but the queues were very long with 4 coaches in. The evening meals were just ok, for some reason there was random salad dishes with the hot food which didn't go at all, again very long queues and the tables were not cleared, however, this could have just been down to it being so busy. It would not put me of returning. The Hogmanay Party itself was excellent with really good entertainment. We had a great crowd of people and everyone joined in, including James the Manager and his son. James always makes you feel welcome and interacts with the guests. Nice swimming pool and gym but I didn't get a chance to try them.
