Booked dinner as last minute surprise for my wife’s birthday . The Fauna restaurant is wonderful ; plenty of space between tables and very good aesthetics. Jamie our waiter was very knowledgeable and gave very good advices on choices on the menu . We chose the steak which was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by a very good tomato sauce made by chef . This was an amazing find and would not hesitate to return . A five star experience !

“A perfect anniversary break”

The designer aesthetic of Pine Trees is fabulous. All the attention to detail, ornaments and quirky decor were of an excellent standard. The quality of bedding & also the luxury toiletries were a nice touch. The food was generally good, we dined in the lounge as well as the dining room, neither were a disappointment. The pantry is a great idea. The staff are lovely and you can tell they have passion to work there. We had a lovely wander around the gardens and there’s plenty of parking. Very close to the centre of Pitlochry so the location is excellent.

“Outstanding hotel”

It is very rare for me to award 5 stars as often there is something missing. not so with this hotel. We stayed in room 27, the Gowans room. It is very rare for me to award 5 stars as often there is something missing. not so with this hotel. We stayed in room 27, the Gowans room. Everything is so well thought out, and anticipates everything one might need. From a dressing table with seat and mirror with a plug point for the GHD hairdryer. All staff were wonderful and all enthusiastic and proud of the hotel, from Trish on reception, to Rohan and Heather who served us. The interior design throughout the hotel is outstanding, every little detail is well thought out. Even waterproofs and wellington boots are provided should one with them. One area for slight improvement could be the lighting in the restaurant, unlike the lovely bar lighting, there were wall lights that were much too bright. Candles on the tables and getting rid of the wall lights would make it much nicer. I have never stayed in Pitlochry as there wasn't a nice hotel in the area, now I shall be a regular visitor and look forward to my next visit...
