I really enjoyed Schloss Roxburgh I thought overall it was absolutely lovely. My only criticism is that as a cottage guest you have to pay £65 to enter the spa where as if you are a hotel guest you don't. I really enjoyed Schloss Roxburgh I thought overall it was absolutely lovely. My only criticism is that as a cottage guest you have to pay £65 to enter the spa where as if you are a hotel guest you don't. It isn't really about the money, the lady at the spa just made us feel embarrassed and inferior as if we were not as special as a hotel guest, which I did't appreciate. I thought that part of it could be better done.

“Enjoyable stay”

We were given a great welcome, very friendly and escorted to our room and shown around hotel. Hotel not overly busy but spa very busy after 3pm when everyone was checking in, room was modern and clean, restaurant was quiet when we were in, staff friendly , no chicken on restaurant menu unusually b… lisää

We were given a great welcome, very friendly and escorted to our room and shown around hotel. Hotel not overly busy but spa very busy after 3pm when everyone was checking in, room was modern and clean, restaurant was quiet when we were in, staff friendly , no chicken on restaurant menu unusually but it was on the room service menu , prices in line with the cost of hotel , we dined in Kelso on our second night , there’s a few options there and only 5 minutes away , overall we had an enjoyable time , spa highlight is the number of loungers it has inside and out but other than that I would say we’ve been to better spas in Scotland with cheaper room rates

“Weekend away for my partner’s birthday”

Service was poor from afternoon tea when we arrived. Waited for ages to get bill. I had prepaid afternoon tea but the receipt was given to us in front of my partner with the cost of afternoon tea on it. This had been a birthday surprise so immediately I felt a bit embarrassed. Service was poor from afternoon tea when we arrived. Waited for ages to get bill. I had prepaid afternoon tea but the receipt was given to us in front of my partner with the cost of afternoon tea on it. This had been a birthday surprise so immediately I felt a bit embarrassed. Room service was poor. The food was cold. The waitress spilled over half our bottle of lemonade over our tray some of which went on plate as pictured (accident) but food should have been changed before it got to us. We ate it because we were so hungry with an 40 minute wait in the first place. I also asked for salt twice, never got it in the end. Having to que for 20 mins for breakfast eggs and staff could be quicker and more attentive. Spa was overly busy at times and difficult to get a bed! Overall disappointed at my stay. I had high hopes it was going to be amazing.

Spa great probably one of best in UK, rooms lovely and spacious & food overall good. Service was terrible in Charlies restaurant, staff look in your direction and ignore & when you do finally get attention and order drinks they pour half the glass of prosecco back in the bottle in-front if you and … lisää

Service was terrible in Charlies restaurant, staff look in your direction and ignore & when you do finally get attention and order drinks they pour half the glass of prosecco back in the bottle in-front if you and offer ‘ on the house’ , totally unacceptable. Not 5 stars
