“Great B&B in an excellent location”

Great location for exploring the Isle of Skye. The hotel check in was easy and the owner very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Great location for exploring the Isle of Skye. The hotel check in was easy and the owner very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The mattress and pillows could have been a bit better but this could be an opinion based on personal preferences. Breakfast was great and the buffet style made it easy to load up on food and hit the road. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place as a great base just off Skye.

“Well maintained and nice owner”

It would be unfair to compare this hotel to the other ones on this trip as it is half the price. Well maintained and a very pleasant owner. It would be unfair to compare this hotel to the other ones on this trip as it is half the price. Well maintained and a very pleasant owner. Breakfast was good and the view from the dining room was really lovely. The room had everything we needed but was quite simple - no bath robes - think Premier Inn. Some rooms probably have a good view but number 11 definitely doesn’t. Even numbers are more likely to look out over the water. Very good value.

We stayed two nights in this b&b located between Kyle of Lochalsh and the pretty village of Plockton. After being greeted warmly we received the keys to our attractive and comfortable bedroom. Breakfast was buffet style with a dissapointing choice. Croisants were prepackaged and simple fruit dishes pre-portioned. Although labled as a hotel, they no longer offer evening meals.

“Near the Isle of Skye”

Although not quite on the Isle of Skye (just across the Skye Bridge) and a bit out of the way, this cozy hotel was a great choice for our stay. The hosts were cordial. The breakfast was delicious and the view was spectacular. The rooms were a decent size and we were quite comfortable.

Our hosts sent us a list of nearby restaurants in advance so that helped with planning for dinner since the hotel was a little more remote. We stayed here one night before our drive through the Isle of Skye. Our hosts sent us a list of nearby restaurants in advance so that helped with planning for dinner since the hotel was a little more remote. When we arrived, we parked in their large gravel parking lot. Upon entering, we rang the bell at the desk and collected our key and details about the property. Next to the front desk was a large public room with games, books and lots of seating. The breakfast area was next with nice views, Our room was on the second floor. It was spacious along with the bath. The bath needed a lot more shelf or counter space. The tub was the typical European half glass style but we laid down the provided cork board on the floor since there was a lot of water splashes. Inside the shower, the flooring felt a lot more slippier than I expected with a narrower middle that necessitated the use of the rubber bath mat inside. For breakfast we found our table reserved with our room number right next to the picture windows. It was a gorgeous view towards the water. Breakfast was buffet style with the typical Scottish breakfast items, cereals, pastries, yogurt and fruit. It was filling and good. Since we prepaid our booking we just dropped our key at the front when we checked out. It was a comfortable and quiet stay.
