“Lovely Night Stay”

Stayed for just one night last weekend of Febuary . As usual booked a lodge which was a delux lodge . Very nice indeed , comfortable bed , tastfully decorated . Stayed for just one night last weekend of Febuary . As usual booked a lodge which was a delux lodge . Very nice indeed , comfortable bed , tastfully decorated . Parking is great and you do not pay for parking as a paying customer . If i had to mention one thing that could do with improving that is the breakfast . You can tell that the ingrediants used isnt fresh local produce and the coat of breakfast is very high . As my wife who is a chef wasnt enjoying her cooked food she asked if she could have some pancakes instead . The young lady server gave a definative no as my wife had had the meal she had paid for . Still regardless of breakfast we look forward to our next stay

“Excellent service 10/10”

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is one of the nicest places we have every stayed in. We arrived on Sunday lunch time and decided to have the carvery. It was one of the best we have had. Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is one of the nicest places we have every stayed in. We arrived on Sunday lunch time and decided to have the carvery. It was one of the best we have had. The staff serving us were so nice and friendly. The breakfasts were also really nice and piping hot,yet again served by a lovely lady. Our room was spotlessly clean as were the spa facilities. Staff were cleaning constantly. The following night we decided to eat in the bar. The food again was lovely. I opted for the homemade fishcakes which were delicious , my better half had the pizza which was really nice.The waitress Laura was amazing. So friendly and happy. It's very unusual to stay somewhere were the staff are all happy,friendly and welcoming. The only downside to our stay was the weather rain rain rain. We will definitely be coming back to The Waterloo.

“Heating Issue”

We only stayed one night in a superior lodge. It was clean and comfortable but the heating was an issue . The heating must be on timers but the radiators were old and the temperature valves did not work. The heating was on the whole night and was unbearable .. we were opening windows and kicking … lisää

The heating was on the whole night and was unbearable .. we were opening windows and kicking sheets off . Aside from this issue which for me was a big deal cos it affected the one nights sleep we had I thought overall the hotel was average

“No hot water from shower or bath. Just warm”

Very lovely place, but the water from the bath and the shower was warm but not hot! This was in one of the cabins. A double room. And after a day out exploring in the cold, you do want a hot shower or bath when you’ve paid quite a lot for a hotel! Very disappointing. And it is strange because we … lisää

Very lovely place, but the water from the bath and the shower was warm but not hot! This was in one of the cabins. A double room. And after a day out exploring in the cold, you do want a hot shower or bath when you’ve paid quite a lot for a hotel! Very disappointing. And it is strange because we have stayed here many times before and there was always hot water - so not sure why they’ve stopped letting their guests have a hot shower? The water from the sink is very hot, but not the bath or shower.
