“Nice location”

Rowan the manager is very friendly ,professional and give us excellent service. The room is clean ,quiet and near to the Castle and town centre.I will highly recommend this hotel who would love to visit this place.

What a surprise. It was Fabulous to stay here. Beautiful sea view. The staff at the reception was very good. The family room with one king size and 2 single beds was very clean. I didn't wanted to leave. No car park but has council car park not far at all, just before the entrance £7.40 for 24hrs. … lisää

“Charge for pets extortionate !”

We booked for 1 night prior to transferring to our next hotel for a longer stay. We had a family room on the top floor. The room had a double bed and a put-up single bed. We booked for 1 night prior to transferring to our next hotel for a longer stay. We had a family room on the top floor. The room had a double bed and a put-up single bed. There was actually plenty of room to have another single bed in the room which would have been better for our 12yo son as he is quite tall. The bedding & towels were clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. The shower wasn't that great but I find that they never are at these hotels. The hotel did charge us an extra £20 per dog for our stay which I found a little extortionate; the room itself wasn't that clean so I don't understand how hotels can justify charging an extra £20 which they say is to cover the extra cleaning costs due to having pets in the room. Either the hotels need to invest in better cleaning equipment, give the cleaners more time to clean or properly check rooms afterwards. If customers are still complaining then clearly the hotel are not meeting basic standards. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The room did not have a hairdryer but I was able to loan one from reception. The location of the hotel is great for getting into the town and there's a Table Table restaurant nearby that can be booked for breakfast but ensure you book early. There is no drop off point at the hotel entrance so luggage needs to be carried from the public car-parks which are about 100m away - not ideal but we were aware of this prior to booking. This hotel is fine, not the greatest, had we not had to pay the extra for our dogs to stay then I would say that this hotel is "you get what you pay for" but my experience on this occasion wasn't what I feel we paid for.
