Lovely hotel! Staff could not do enough for you, rooms were spacious and everywhere was very clean. The hotel was quiet which was nice if you want a relaxing break, the bar was lovely which created a nice atmosphere. The hotel was like a 10/15 min away drive from nearby shops, although the hotel had a little shop where you could buy snacks. The restaurant food was lovely and the portions were good sizes. It was about £6 for a beer and £40 for a bottle of Prosecco. We went the spa twice whilst we stayed and it was lovely, especially the outdoor pool (however it was a little small). We went the spa on the Friday 4pm-6pm and Saturday 2pm-4pm. I’d recommend going the Friday slot as it was very busy on the Saturday. The staff were amazing in the spa! The hotel receptionist recommended visiting Aber Falls (17 min drive away) and I’m so glad she did! It was a beautiful waterfall which I’d recommend everyone to go to! Lovely hotel and will be returning :)

The evening meals were top quality. All home made. No microwave crap. Credit to the chef. Would go back just for the food !! Overall really enjoyed our stay. So much to see just a short drive out side of hotel. Conwy is about 6 mile. Betws y coed about the same in the other direction. Really wished we had stayed longer to explore more around the area. Absolutely stunning unspoilt ( little town right outside nothing there and not so nice but plenty further afield

I had a wonderful stay at the IXORA in Conwy and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Each and every member of staff was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming — from the moment I arrived, I genuinely felt right at home. It was clear that it really meant a lot to the team that I enjoyed my stay, not only within the hotel itself but also my time in the surrounding area. Their care, local knowledge, and kindness made a real difference and turned a lovely trip into a memorable one. A beautiful hotel with a truly welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend the IXORA to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable, and relaxing retreat in a fantastic location. Thank you all so much!

“A lovely trip away”

Comparing this with other 4 star hotels, I think it slightly below the experiences I have experienced from other 4* hotels, however, the stay was very pleasant. Comparing this with other 4 star hotels, I think it slightly below the experiences I have experienced from other 4* hotels, however, the stay was very pleasant. The food for lunch was gorgeous, steak sandwich was spot on. Dinner was also very nice. I think the service was somewhat lacking and staff need further training. Wine glasses left on table and not in use, no drinks offered when empty, minor things but make the difference. The spa was nice, however, having managed 5* spas before I look for fine details again, some areas could do with a deep clean. Otherwise very nice and everything worked which was great to see. The bit of building that has been ripped off by the wind (I assume) is a bit of an eye sore! The bedroom was clean and good size. Good size TV and everything worked. The tea and coffee station lacking much like a travel lodge offering compared to espresso machines in other 4* hotels. Room 311 has some weird whirring noise coming from the roof space above which was constant, however, didn’t bother us, as we sleep with white noise normally! All in all a good stay, I would come back and the price is competitive.
