“Great hotel”

Lovely hotel all staff,particularly Jon who was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean with air conditioning.and would definitely return one day.100 %recommend.

We recently stayed at the St George Hotel in Llandudno for two nights (13–14 May) and had an excellent experience throughout. The hotel enjoys a fantastic seafront location and offers free parking to the rear and side of the building, which was a great bonus. The rooms were nicely furnished, very comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished to a very high standard. In particular, the disabled-friendly facilities were excellent, including convenient charging/power points for mobility scooters and a superb spacious bathroom with a large walk-in power shower together with a separate flexible hose shower. A special mention must go to Jake, who provided outstanding customer service both on arrival and throughout our stay. He was extremely friendly, professional and genuinely helpful, which made a real difference to our experience. The restaurant was also very well managed and efficient, with very good quality food and attentive service. Overall, we found the hotel welcoming, comfortable and very well run, and we would certainly recommend it to others visiting Llandudno.

“Not The Service Expected.”

Having visited St George's Hotel previously, we expected the same sort of service we had last time. However, standards are slipping. Having visited St George's Hotel previously, we expected the same sort of service we had last time. However, standards are slipping. On the plus side, the hotel is in a good position, the room was clean and tidy as was the hotel generally. Check in was very good with everything explained. On the downside. 1) When we went for breakfast, I was asked for our room number. Being of an age where memory fog is a daily occurrence, I said "Oh I've forgot" The reply I received was "Well how can you find your room". Although I then remembered the room number, I was taken aback at the rude reply. I dont pay to be spoken to like this from a tuppence halfpenny waiter. 2) We asked the same waiter for one pot of tea and one coffee. We were halfway through our breakfast and noticed later arrivals being served. We had to ask another waiter, who promptly brought the drinks to us. We also thought that a £3 surcharge for scrambled egg and salmon was excessive, considering you wouldnt be having the full cooked breakfast. 3) During the afternoon, we sat in the conservatory. I went to the bar to order two drinks. The bar serves two rooms and I could hear the bartender on the other side filling the shelves. After waiting for awhile with no attention, I went to the other room. The bartender asked what I wanted. I asked for two drinks. He informed me that I needed to be served at the bar I'd just come from. After returning to the first bar and waiting again, the bartender came out of the bar, walked past me and disapeared. Whe left and went somewhere else. 4) We returned to the hotel at 10.15 pm. I went to the bar and asked for two coffees. I was informed that coffee wasn't available, only tea. We went to the room. Will we return....No

“Beautiful looking hotel, needs some improvements!”

We spent four nights in this hotel recently. We spent four nights in this hotel recently. It is beautifully located, looks amazing from the outside, the dinner twice, was great, the breakfast room amazingly beautiful, but I found that the breakfast offer was poor, and I also didn't understand why weekends you can have breakfast until 10.30am, and weekdays 10am, because, as a rule, everybody who stays here is probably on their holidays. Having just one lifts was a problem too, as it is a huge hotel and the lift is tiny. We also had to chase after an extra face towel every day, as they only seem to offer one face towel per couple, which is very, very odd. I have travelled all over the world for my work, and on holidays, and never saw such a thing. Our room was also awfully noisy, despite having asked for a quiet room. We didn't go for a room with sea view for fear of the traffic noise, but in the end we were very close to their bar terrace, where the very loud music could start in the morning and go on till very late at night, but also one could clearly hear everything that went on in the upstairs bathroom, which was very annoying, especially the shower water hitting the bathtub or tiles, but you could hear any water running quite loudly. Also, they could have spent a bit of money insulating the floor before putting down the carpets. The room was lovely, small (while we were convinced that we had booked a superior room), but very nice, and the bathroom beautiful.
