“A perfect five”

This is a good as it gets. Location outside town with restaurant, bar, sauna, tennies, etc. on site. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The grounds are incredibly beautiful. The room was large, super clean with a comfortable mattress.

“Odd Buy Nice One Night Stay”

When our group of two couples arrived mid-afternoon for a one night stay on a weekday in September, we were uncertain if the hotel was open since there were no cars in the parking area. The front desk receptionist was very pleasant, but she informed us that our reservations through booking.com had been canceled the previous day (even though we had not canceled the reservation)(booking.com later thanked us for the reservation and inquired as to our stay). She informed us, however, that that was not a problem since they had availability and she could provide us with Rooms 101 and 102 (!). The rooms were very nice sized with windows which opened and a nice view, a large comfortable bed, very nice and large walk-in shower and bathroom, all of which were clean and well-appointed. Since we were thirsty but did not wish to get back in the car, I asked the receptionist when the small hotel bar would open - she informed me the bar was open and she would be right over to take our drink orders (!). She did so promptly and we ended up having several cappuccinos, and thereafter several beers. She would serve us, then return to the front desk, then serve us again, etc. It was somewhat odd, but perfectly pleasant. Midway through our drinks, another hotel employee appeared; he brought us, gratis, a plate of nice cheeses and deli meats (prosciutto, salami, etc.), which was quite good and a nice appetizer. We never saw any other guests or staff at the hotel that evening. The next morning, a different employee was at reception, the spa was occupied with staff, and there was a dining room employee assisting with breakfast, which was a nice although not broad selection. We ate alone in the dining room, which again was clean, pleasant, and had newer nice furniture. It was a very nice one night stay, but it was just somewhat odd there were so few staff and no other guests. Nonetheless, we do not hesitate to recommend La Dimora Del Baco.

“Very Good for the Price”

We had a business meeting in L'Aquila and the company put all of us up at the La Dimora Del Baco Hotel. The location was good and the price was right, so it worked out well. The lack of an exercise room (with exercise equipment) and the somewhat basic room style were not quite what I was expecting.… lisää

We had a business meeting in L'Aquila and the company put all of us up at the La Dimora Del Baco Hotel. The location was good and the price was right, so it worked out well. The lack of an exercise room (with exercise equipment) and the somewhat basic room style were not quite what I was expecting. That said, the room was clean and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. I also liked their service as the people there tolerated my bad Italian with patience and smiles. While I might like to try another hotel next time, I would be perfectly happy staying there again.
