Let me tell you about our new best friend Adriana. She’s the proprietress at the B & B Baia di Trentova, the lovely hillside retreat in Agropoli where our family spent 4 days. When we first heard of her family-run inn many months before our trip, we reached out to learn what kinds of activities we might find to do there. From the very beginning Adriana was completely engaged in making our family reunion everything we hoped it could be. After our arrival her personal engagement with us only increased — she took us on a tour to a buffalo mozzarella farm and a local fig producer, arranged for a boat excursion, a wine tasting and a trip to the Paestum ruins. She fed us, entertained us, and introduced us to her world as she inquired about ours. The B & B is spacious and comfortable, with a view deck that takes in the beautiful bay and picturesque countryside of Cilento. It’s truly a family affair, with Adriana’s husband Oreste, his brother Domenico, mother-in-law Nonna Maria and even the kids Alissa and Andrea all taking part in the hospitality. Speaking of Nonna Maria — the B & B also offers a chef-inspired dinner menu many evenings at their restaurant (Osteria Ubbipo), centered around Nonna’s interpretations of whatever is fresh and locally available, realized along with contributions from other family members. One evening we dined on tasty and inventive dishes created out of what we had picked out that morning at the local farmer’s market. (Needless to say, their expertise in the kitchen also finds expression in each day’s delicious and filling breakfast.) The B & B also offers cooking classes with Nonna and we’re told that they are also offering Italian language classes as part of their guests’ optional activities. But aside from the great food and great accomodations, what we’ll remember most about our stay at B & B Baia di Trentova is the feeling of welcome we received from Adriana and her family — a family we felt a part of within just a few hours of arriving. Whether or not we’ll ever make it back to that part of the world is uncertain, but we’ll always know that we have a friend there.

We had 3 nights at B&B Baia di Trentova and it was a truly wonderful experience. We traveled as a couple in April 2026. B&B Baia di Trentova is beautifully located on an elevated position with a lovely view over the surrounding area. From almost everywhere, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the small hills, the bay and the sea. Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The area is especially interesting because it is a little off the beaten track, meaning fewer tourists and a more local atmosphere. It is located in the middle of Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, with plenty of nature, small coves, charming villages and larger towns nearby. There are 5 good, well-maintained rooms with private bathrooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning, refrigerator, and everything clean, tidy and in good order. Each room also has acces to its own terrace. The breakfast (included in the stay) is absolutely worth mentioning. It is generous and varied, with eggs prepared as you like (boiled or "uova strapazzate" – scrambled eggs), cheese, different types of ham, homemade jams, yogurt, juice, cornetto (croissant), bread and freshly cut fruit – all served on the beautiful terrace overlooking the area. What also makes this place unique is the family. Everyone helps make sure you have a great stay and that everything works smoothly. It is genuine southern hospitality. We felt truly welcomed and were met with warmth, helpfulness and sincere care. A wonderful experience for both body and soul. Other highlights from the stay: hearing the Italian language all around us (they also speak English), helpful recommendations on what to see and special places to visit, "Nonna" in the kitchen, high-quality food, good wines, cooking classes (by arrangement), and shared dining afterwards. “Exceptional B&B in Agropoli”

Exceptional stay at B&B Baia di Trentova. Our entire stay was pure perfection. Adriana and Oreste are wonderful owners--with their full attention to their beautiful B&B and guests. Exceptional stay at B&B Baia di Trentova. Our entire stay was pure perfection. Adriana and Oreste are wonderful owners--with their full attention to their beautiful B&B and guests. The rooms are immaculate, with comfortable beds and high quality linens, AC, refrigerator and plenty of outlets. The bathroom was expansive, modern, with plenty of towels and bath amenities. The breakfasts were the best I had in Italy over a 3 week stay. Freshly-made delicious pastries (made by Oreste's brother who is a pastry chef), local fruits and vegetables, juices, yogurts and incredible cappuccino. Each room has an outside patio with their own table and chairs--overlooking the sea and this stunning property. What sets this B&B apart though, are the owners. They make you feel as if you are a part of their family---and they truly are a beautiful family. I plan to return each time I visit Italy.

This small family hotel is a place where you feel welcome from the very first second. The owners are so friendly and make the best Italian food. The B&B is situated on a hill with the most marvelous view of the blue sea and green Cilento hills. It is so quiet and peaceful. The rooms are clean and fresh and beds are very comfortable. I slept like a baby. After waking up, a delicious Italian breakfast is served on the cozy terrasse. I love this place.
