“Perfect :)”

Super hotel, very friendly, cozy rooms and perfectly situated for getting up into the mountains for tours (and relaxing in the spa after a long day hiking/climbing). A favourite! Fantastic food: wide range of traditional dishes and a buffet, can't wait to go back.

I had a really good feeling about this hotel and its management before we arrived and it certainly didn't disappoint! The husband (Giorgio) and wife (Janine) owners are super friendly and set the tone for the whole team. Every member of staff made our family group of 8 feel welcome and tried so hard across the board. The 'Gordon's Pub' under the same roof/ownership is a bit special! You can watch sport on the big screen, have your half board meal there instead of the formal Dinning Room should you wish, and even join in with the locals on 'Karaoke Night' (hilarious!). We also used the excellent spa facilities every night. Simply a brilliant relaxed place to stay. Oh yes, and it happens to be located in the best location within the Monterosa Ski Area (top of the middle valley). Highly highly recommend! :)

“Good hotel, food could be better”

Good things are the location as its close to both lifts in Staffal. The room was nice although if booked for 3 people, its a bit short on storage (there is only 2 hooks, drawers, cups etc) Spa is very nice with steam and sauna. There is also an outdoor pool. Good things are the location as its close to both lifts in Staffal. The room was nice although if booked for 3 people, its a bit short on storage (there is only 2 hooks, drawers, cups etc) Spa is very nice with steam and sauna. There is also an outdoor pool. Dogs are welcome and resident dog, Gap, is so sweet. When it comes to food, the dining room is very smart, and there is a pianist who has an amazing playlist. However, the food wasn't always as good as I'd like. Meat dishes were often poor. Other dishes were better including an onion soup that required a knife. Desserts are generally excellent. Service was sometimes good, but other times seemed to suffer when there was a large table of people nearby. There was never salt or pepper on the table, which is really odd. Having said all this, I thought it was good value for money. It has its own pub Gordon's. I cannot recommend it, as its too loud and can't even cook a cheese toastie. If you an get along with the food, then its a great place to stay. Three bars nearby and a very small shop. Ski rental just over the road.
