“Idyllic Setting.”
Arrived late for check in after struggling for a taxi in a very busy nearby Frascati. However the receptionist was still on duty and welcomed me in with a friendly check in. “Lovely little 💎 on the outskirts of hilly Rome”
I think this is the kind of "hotel experience" that all travelers dream of. Its a family owned hotel (more like a villa) and its absolutely fantastic. “Dreamlike.... quaint... beautiful!”
As always a gem up in Grottaferrata Rome. The hotel is fantastic. The rooms are great. Breakfast spread is straight from heaven, the dinner restaurant, Al Fico, has possibly the best food in all of Italy. I never ever tire of visiting this place. Been here 4 times and I will always return..

“Charming little place in the hills outside Rome”
The best thing about La Locanda dei Ciocca is that you can walk to Il Fico restaurant just down the hill and after gorging yourself on the food and excellent wine, crawl back up to the hotel for a good night sleep. This is overall a cute hotel. Being family run it comes with some of the idiosyncracies of the genre. Rooms are nicely appointed although not "business standard" if that is what you need.
