“Excellent Staff! But bring ear plugs!”

Mixed review here regarding this hotel. I'm giving four stars because the staff is AMAZING!!! Super helpful and friendly. We had some rental car issues and the desk staff bent over backwards to make calls and help me. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Yes, they can use a facelift but all in all they are nice. My ONLY complaint is that the AC wasn't activated yet and we had to leave the windows open. That fact alone isn't bad but there was this barking dog across the road the just wouldn't shut his yap. Made it tough to get a good nights sleep, but this wasn't the hotel's fault. I would stay here again based solely on the fantastic desk staff.

“Average…….nothing exceptional”

The hotel has an exceptional view of the area.Very modern and clean place.The staff are responsive.The AC was a major setback during our stay…..It did not always work and some nights were unbearable.We had cancelled at Casa San Francesco to this hotel specifically because of the AC.We ended up paying more and got less. Their buffet break fast and restaurant was very elaborate. Finally, the noise from the parties/events in the main hall were at times noisy and went beyond midnight……Our stay was 7 nights……The cost was reasonable when comparing to the BnB and Airbnb in OLd Agnone.

We stayed at the Hotel from August 24 to the 31. The hotel is in need of a good facelift, it still looks like a 1990s hotel. We stayed at the Hotel from August 24 to the 31. The hotel is in need of a good facelift, it still looks like a 1990s hotel. Our suite had a shower but in a big jet tub with a little screen to prevent water spilling out and no matter how careful you were water spilled on the floor. The water screen had paint peeling and rust showing It is a high rimmed tub and had to climb into it and no shelf for soap and shampoo. The air conditioning was our main problem it seemed to never work or cool the room. Then we found out that the front desk can turn it off without us knowing. You go to bed with a temperature of 23c and wake up in the middle of the night sweating, to find out the temp. has risen to 26c, strange.... when inquiring with the front desk they would check their computer screen and the standard answer was ''it works'' or '' is your balcony door closed '' when persisting, the answer would be '' let me check if the breaker did not go off'' and sure enough the answer would be ''the breaker went off it should be OK now'', and sure enough by the time we got back to the room the cold air had come back !! The problem could also be the magnetic key that must be inserted into a socket in the room to have power. On some occasions all of a sudden there would be no power in the room and had to remove and reinsert the key to restore power!! The hotel seems to be in a major cost cutting mode and for a 4 star hotel the front desk is closed in the middle of the night and even sometimes in the afternoon. The balconies have not been swept for a while and there are cigarette buts and pieces of broken glass on the floor. The breakfast served was very average, no cheese or ham and most of the time stale and hard croissant. For coffee, you had to find the person at the front desk and ask for it. Most of the staff is friendly and ready to help. One manager in the wake of our complaints even suggested that if we were not satisfied the were other options open to us !!! Would I recommend the hotel, probably not but in a small town like Agnone there is not much choice unless you go B&B.
