Palazzo Loup is the prefect place to stay when visiting the hills South of Bologna. The kitchen is exquisite and the staff is always prepared to go the extra mile making sure your stay is excellent. We surely recommend the kitchen and the wonderful wine list. The spa and great outdoor pool are welcome extras that offer a reason to stay in the hotel with a good read after long walks in this beautiful region or following a visit to interesting Bologna/ We definitely enjoyed the quiteness and relaxing athmosphere of this great hotel.

For our 1.5hrs pre dinner just didn’t seem worth it We didn’t know at booking that this was an extra cost The place was empty not 1 client Not sure what 4* has 15” TV in 2018 Breakfast was basic and a few flies on uncovered food which always puts me off so I didn’t bother My shower didn’t work well which was disappointing

We stayed one night but had to move the original reservation and were charged €50 for this without having been told beforehand. We stayed one night but had to move the original reservation and were charged €50 for this without having been told beforehand. The room was clean and very interesting with some original antique peices like the bathroom door. However we could hear everything our neighbours did from showering to sneezing to coughing.. Lucky they didn't do more! Breakfast was poor quality prepackaged foods. Coffee barely drinkable. Location was amazing.. But hard to get to. Very long tiny road of about 40 minutes drive from the highway. We spent our Saturday morning in the spa which was quite small but well taken care of. They have a small sauna, Turkish bath, vascular path for the legs and a small swimming pool with jacuzzi corners and a little tap waterfall. It is a lot smaller then it seems in the pictures but when we went it was just us two and another 2 people and we were quite happy with it. I think it could fit max 6 people though. The restaurant was amazing. Service was fantastic.. The waiter explained dishes and areas of the region always being polite and helpful. We had the best tagliatelle we've ever had. Absolutely delicious everything we ate and drank. Very good wine suggestion also! We would be more then happy to return to the restaurant but will not return to the hotel.
