“An incredible treasure in Festive Florence.”

Our stay at Dimora Palanca over the Christmas period was exemplary and stands as a great example as thoughtful, guest-centred hospitality. The experience was so consistently positive that we found ourselves beginning this review before even leaving the hotel, something we rarely do. From arrival to departure, the stay was defined by attention to detail, consistency in service, and a clear understanding of what elevates a luxury experience beyond aesthetics alone. We were kindly upgraded rooms, which was spacious, beautifully appointed and immaculately maintained. The interior design throughout the property deserves particular recognition: the balance between historic character and contemporary refinement is handled with restraint and coherence, creating an environment that feels both elegant and welcoming. A notable highlight was the private spa experience, offered with dedicated time and complete privacy. This approach transformed what could have been a standard amenity into a genuinely restorative experience, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to quality over volume and personalization over uniformity. Equally impressive was the level of service provided by the staff, which extended well beyond conventional expectations. Practical arrangements such as organising taxis were handled seamlessly and proactively. Moments of genuine care were also evident in quieter gestures, such as delivering coffee to be enjoyed on the terrace, allowing us to begin the day in an unhurried and memorable way. The staff also took the time to share the history of the building, offering an informal guided explanation that added depth and context to the experience. Understanding the story of the palazzo enhanced our appreciation of both the restoration and the care taken to preserve its character, further reinforcing the strong sense of place created by the hotel. The Christmas period was marked by subtle yet thoughtful festive touches, including a beautifully presented Christmas letter accompanied by a sweet seasonal treat. This gesture felt personal and sincere rather than performative, and it perfectly reflected the hotel’s ability to combine warmth with refinement. In particular, Elisa and Aymen deserve special recognition for their professionalism, warmth and attentiveness. Their approach exemplified the hotel’s service philosophy, striking an ideal balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality, and significantly enhanced the quality of our stay. Dimora Palanca succeeds not only as a place to stay, but as a reference point for how modern hospitality can be delivered with intention, sensitivity and consistency. Other hotels and hospitality professionals could learn a great deal from the way service, design and guest experience are so carefully aligned here. Although our visit took place during the winter season, it was easy to imagine how the property would be equally exceptional in the warmer months, with the terrace, light-filled interiors and overall sense of calm lending themselves perfectly to spring and summer stays. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend Dimora Palanca to those seeking a considered, high-quality stay in Florence.

“Fantastic florence ”

Stay in this wonderful little hotel on our trip to florence. “Like coming home”

The building is beautiful - tastefully decorated, incredible comfortable, an oasis of a garden. Breakfast was fabulous. Great location - 15 minute gentle stroll into the centre of Florence.
