“Excellent Choice”

Everything was even better than expected. The staff very polite and helpfull. One of the cleanest facilities I have visited. The breakfast is to 5 star hotel standards. Very accesible in the center and also provides free parking.

We had a very quiet room including large terrace. The town is located in the middle of Vinschgau, ideal to explore the valley by bicycle. The train station is in walking distance, trains leaving ever 30 min eg to Meran.

“The Best of Mountain Living”

We organised a bike tour through the Dolomites and the first 2 nights of accommodation were booked at the Goldene Rose in Silandro and it was a wonderful place to base ourselves. Silandro and many of the towns in this area are small but extremely charming and have lovely views from wherever you might cast your eye. The hotel itself is just a short walk from the train station and nothing is very far away and it is certainly able to be reached on foot. The reception area is small but welcoming and the staff work in various parts of the hotel, so you might also see them working elsewhere. Everything was ready for our arrival and we were given the keys straight to our room. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The beds and bedding are great and several pillows are available, which is nice. There is a desk, comfortable couch and a sitting chair. We had a nice balcony complete with outdoor furniture. There are spacious cupboards with plenty of storage space. The bathroom is large and the shower is quite fabulous and has a huge shower head. The only thing I found a little annoying was the internet which kept dropping out, but it’s not that big a deal. Check out the outdoor common areas and the spa and sauna. The rooms appear to have good heating for winter, but our stay was during some very warm weather and there was no way to cool the rooms down. Breakfast is huge and very tempting. A great stay at the Goldene Rose!

Each room was very clean, spacious, with a large balcony. The rooms were recently re-decorated and have a nice cosy and modern feeling. Hotel was rather busy, but service remained great. The sauna and wellness room is definitely an asset, as well as the comfortable sun-terrace...
