“Beautiful!”

We chose to visit Schenna at the last minute after 4 weeks in Europe and couldn't have been happier with our selection. We chose to visit Schenna at the last minute after 4 weeks in Europe and couldn't have been happier with our selection. We took the bus from Munich to Schenna, and when we arrived the owner of the hotel picked us up and drove us back to the hotel. We quickly realised he didn't speak English and we didn't speak German but managed a few hand signals to express oursleves! During our 4 night stay at the hotel, we were the only English speaking guests! The staff tried their best to communicate with us and generally had their best English-speakers serve us. They also specially made up an English version of the dinner menu and morning guide for us! On our final night, we umm-ed and arr-ed about asking how we get to the bus station in the morning.. But while we were at dinner, they came over and asked what time we needed to be there and offered to drive us to the bus stop. At 6am the next the morning, the owner made us a cappucino and gave us a packed breakfast of sandwiches and fruit to take with us and then drove us to the bus stop. We felt like family! I would reccommend this hotel to everyone! Thankyou family Dosser :)

“Very nice and relaxing holiday in this very nice hotel”

We spent one week in this hotel during Christmas holidays. Our room was big, beautiful and cleaned as all the other common areas in the hotel. We travelled with our 17months baby and staff was so kind to satisfy all our needs (especially the food for the baby). There is also a special room for babi… lisää

We spent one week in this hotel during Christmas holidays. Our room was big, beautiful and cleaned as all the other common areas in the hotel. We travelled with our 17months baby and staff was so kind to satisfy all our needs (especially the food for the baby). There is also a special room for babies and kids with different kind of plays and it was very useful for us. Even the SPA is nice: big swimming pool and relax area with sauna inside, and beautiful little garden with swimming pool and fantastic view on the valley and the hills outside. The hotel is even well located: it is near Merano and Bolzano. We suggest this hotel for couples and for families with children.

“Where is the heart?”

The first impression was: it looks nice. And then you arrive and the welcome does not match. Everything feels quite cold. Not really cordial. The room: it was spacious, indeed. The first impression was: it looks nice. And then you arrive and the welcome does not match. Everything feels quite cold. Not really cordial. The room: it was spacious, indeed. The views are magnificent, no doubt about that. But also here no welcome. No bottle of water, for instance, nothing personal. The furniture is quite basic, the mattress felt old and used. It was not the feeling that you get the best bed in the world while being away from home. The bathroom was OK and there is enough space in the cupboards. There is no air conditioning and when you want to keep the windows open you notice that your room is located above the lounge, where other guests are having a good time till late... Positive: the cleaning everyday was good and the staff were creative arranging the blankets. The food was mostly excellent, but after a couple of days things started to repeat themselves. And the variety for a Vegetarian is rather limited. But maybe that's a general problem in this region? Also here while serving themselves, the members of the owner-family felt a bit strange. They appeared in no way cordial, they were not committed, they felt distanced and staged. Do they really love their jobs? There were two or three serving staff members that really stood out. Very charming. But otherwise... If you have a special inquiry the family members doing their jobs also at the reception seemed quickly overstrained. They tried several times to get rid of you (!) and postpone answers indefinitely. A strange behaviour at such a place. On the other hand the owner family seems to be able to be more cordial with certain guests, but maybe only with people they already know? While in other touristic regions in the alps you get free access to public transport and cable cars, here you get a "guest card" that gives you very minimalistic discounts. It was a truly strange experience staying at this hotel. Nothing extremely bad, but also nothing really convincing.
