“Nice stay in Venice”

We enjoyed our stay at Leone Hotel. As there are no cars or cars in Venice, we walked from the train station to the hotel. The walk was about 10 minutes and Google maps was helpful. You have to carry your luggage, but there are many people carrying their luggage through the streets. From the train station, you have to cross one bridge, but it's equipped with ramp like stairs which makes it easier to navigate with luggage. When we left after our 2 night stay, we took the water taxi to the airport. The water taxi is about a 4 minute walk from the hotel, with no bridge crossing. You can buy a ticket to the Allilaguna orange line for $15 Euro to the airport. The hotel room was very small, but clean and comfortable. Although Hotel rooms advertise having AC, it is not turned on until a certain point in the spring, so we opened the window of the room for ventilation.

“Ideal location for exploring”

We stayed in this hotel room only for four nights as a couple at the end of July 2025. The hotel is ideally situated for the Guglie stop serviced by the Alilaguna Water Bus from Marco Polo airport. We stayed in this hotel room only for four nights as a couple at the end of July 2025. The hotel is ideally situated for the Guglie stop serviced by the Alilaguna Water Bus from Marco Polo airport. The hotel and room were basic – but suited our needs for a City Break. We were in room 218 at the top of the stairs – small room but adequate. Short walk from Ferrovia AVM water bus stop that goes straight to San Marco Square. We preferred to walk, it took us about 30 minutes to get to the centre of things. We much prefered the area the hotel was in – quieter with cafes and restraunts nearby where you can sit outside and watch the people. Hotel provided a good base for visiting the Old Town and getting to Murano/Burano by boat. We recommend Trattoria Bar Pontini; Pan e Ogio and Very Good eateries located in the same street as the hotel.

This is a very clean boutique hotel conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the train terminal and close to water bus. “Just okay”

The hotel is right on the canal and plenty of restaurants and shops within 5 minute walk both sides of the bridge beside it. Vaporetto stop right outside it. We found location very good. Hotel small but nice reception. Stairs are very steep but there is a small lift to reach your room. I cho… lisää

The hotel is right on the canal and plenty of restaurants and shops within 5 minute walk both sides of the bridge beside it. Vaporetto stop right outside it. We found location very good. Hotel small but nice reception. Stairs are very steep but there is a small lift to reach your room. I chose this hotel for price and the reviews saying how clean it was. Unfortunately we did not find this. There was dust and the shower hadn't been cleaned properly in a while - even the shower head. The cleanliness really let this hotel down, otherwise it was basic but grand. Staff were friendly and provided us with extra pillows on request. Very helpful when we needed transfer information also.
