“Small but cozy - helpful staff”

October 2023 - we stayed here as one of the more budget friendly options but still quite expensive in CDN. The room was half the size of other stays but we managed. 1 double 1 twin bed for family of 4. Kids slept on the twin. It was easy to navigate the bus and front staff were helpful in direction the bus and getting into salzburg walking part of the city, and we were provided with a map. We spent two nights here so that we could each take turns doing the Mozart concert in the palace. Due to having small children we each took a night to attend and it was easy to navigate the bus back. I believe we were able to purchase a bus pass for the two days at the hotel desk. We enjoyed walking the city - I should have done 3 nights but we had a busy itinerary and multiple countries to visit in a short time. Parking was limited but available if reserving in advance

“Convenient location”

Positives - reasonable price - nice buffet breakfast, regularly topped up - loved the hanging hammock chair on our balcony - pleasant staff - clean - decent sized twin room compared to some we’ve had - ‘bar’ area where limited alcohol available - excellent for public transport links to airport and … lisää

Positives - reasonable price - nice buffet breakfast, regularly topped up - loved the hanging hammock chair on our balcony - pleasant staff - clean - decent sized twin room compared to some we’ve had - ‘bar’ area where limited alcohol available - excellent for public transport links to airport and centre of Salzburg - complimentary bus ticket for use on public transport buses round the city - free WiFi - generally within the hotel it was quiet (other guests, toilets flushing etc) Negatives - busy road so can be noisy if windows open and you’re at the front of the hotel - no air conditioning (though a fairly decent fan was provided) - bathroom was quite small (fine for able bodied, slim people but as a slightly overweight/mobility impaired person it was a bit of a struggle) - decor etc a bit dated Excellent, practical, reasonably priced hotel. Not slick/fancy/modern/all mod cons if that’s what you’re looking for. We were lucky enough to be in Salzburg in very sunny weather and without air conditioning in the hotel it was a bit of a struggle. We managed with the fan and the windows open but it meant it was noisy and not so peaceful at night. A different time of year this wouldn’t have been an issue.

This hotel was good for our short city break. We booked last minute and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They do offer limited parking but were sold out, however we didn’t have any issues finding a spot. We didn’t need to use our car as the hotel provided mobility passes which meant we c… lisää

This hotel was good for our short city break. We booked last minute and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They do offer limited parking but were sold out, however we didn’t have any issues finding a spot. We didn’t need to use our car as the hotel provided mobility passes which meant we could use public transportation for free. The bus stop is across the street and easy to navigate. The rooms were nice and spacious with lots of windows and we even had a small enclosed patio area. My only complaint was no AC in our room. They had breakfast but we opted for some cafes in town however it appeared to be popular. Overall great for a short trip.

“An Enjoyable Stay”

Nice hotel, just outside Salzburg old town. There is a bus stop right outside so it's just a few minutes to old town and the hotel provides free travel vouchers. The staff are friendly and the hotel provides a decent breakfast. We had an issue with the room cleaning not being done and the hotel gav… lisää

Nice hotel, just outside Salzburg old town. There is a bus stop right outside so it's just a few minutes to old town and the hotel provides free travel vouchers. The staff are friendly and the hotel provides a decent breakfast. We had an issue with the room cleaning not being done and the hotel gave us a decent discount. There is a selection of good restaurants close by.
