“Consistent Comfort Hotel Japan stay but slow Wi-Fi”

Had a pleasant stay that was consistent with the Comfort Hotel brand in Japan! Close to the station as well as other local landmarks like Senshu Park and the art museum, the property was extremely convenient as a base for our first night in Akita! Had a pleasant stay that was consistent with the Comfort Hotel brand in Japan! Close to the station as well as other local landmarks like Senshu Park and the art museum, the property was extremely convenient as a base for our first night in Akita! There was at least one staff member in the lobby who spoke fluent English whenever I visited (to the point she even asked if I loved Akita Inu as I was fixated on the stuffed dog in the front desk!) In-room amenities included a USB-C/Lightning/MicroUSB charger and an air purifier. The complimentary breakfast had the typical diverse choices that the hotel brand has had in my previous stays at other locations but also included at least one local dish which was a pleasant surprise! Unfortunately the hotel Wi-Fi was the only negative part of our stay as I struggled to browse the internet while using the otherwise-complimentary network so be warned if you’re planning to do anything data-heavy like using a VPN or logging into Zoom.

“We'll be back”

Although the very clean room was tiny, it was surprisingly comfortable. Staff were very helpful and informative. The slightly odd breakfast was in fact very good. The location near the station and the town's other attractions was very convenient.

This hotel is near to the station and right above a Lawsons. Room is nothing to shout home about, small and clean. In fact I felt it was a bit smaller than what I'd usually expect from a Japanese hotel, and the air had the faintest tinge of smoke in the air despite this being a no smoking room. Sti… lisää

This hotel is near to the station and right above a Lawsons. Room is nothing to shout home about, small and clean. In fact I felt it was a bit smaller than what I'd usually expect from a Japanese hotel, and the air had the faintest tinge of smoke in the air despite this being a no smoking room. Still, beds were comfy and all necessary amenities were provided. The breakfast was appreciated, but can be crowded. There's a good mix of Japanese and Western options, and constant free flow of coffee/tea in the common area.

Ideal for travellers looking for close to perfect accommodation.Less than 4 mins walk from the airport limousine bus station, malls and convenience stores.The bed, the modern design and great service is a plus.
