It’s located on the top of hill. My mom and I stayed in a deluxe room, which gets nice natural light and has a great sea view. The room was big and it was perfect to chill out with other travel companies who were staying in a different room. Judging from the direction of the sun when I woke up, early risers can enjoy the sunrise. Both dinner and breakfast offer variety of tasty dishes. Staff are very courteous.

Kanpo no yado, one of the good hotels around the Atami area, is a great place to stay for relaxation & well being. Upon arriving at the hotel, we we're welcomed warmly by the friendly staff. They made us feel so welcome and at home. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and clean, not to mention the spectacular view from our balcony, seeing the real beauty of the whole Atami! We absolutely love our stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Atami region.

“Large rooms. Traditional layout.”

The good : The lobby was huge. There were even UFO machines an a gift shop present. The onsens where in the basement, easily accessible. The good : The lobby was huge. There were even UFO machines an a gift shop present. The onsens where in the basement, easily accessible. There was an outdoor area and it was just fantastic sitting there in the winter and relaxing. Parking was right in front of the hotel. The room included a nice large tub for as a personal onsen experience. The water filling system was fully automatic and controlled by an electronic panel just above the tub. Very futuristic include in an otherwise more traditional room. There were 2 single beds with a tatami living area where 2 more futons can be place. The room was definitely large enough to fit 4. Awesome views from the balcony of Atami and the seaside. The bad: The location is a bit off from the station. Thankfully the hotel provides feeder buses from the door step. Made a mistake to going to the sister hotel and had to drive a big round to get to the right place. Best to confirm on the GPS before setting off. The room was a bit traditional and the toilet was separated from the bath. The furnishings were a little dated. Clean but old.

This place sits on a hillside, a little away from Atami main district. We stayed in a suite on the top floor, the view from our room was magnificent, overlooking Atami bay. This place sits on a hillside, a little away from Atami main district. We stayed in a suite on the top floor, the view from our room was magnificent, overlooking Atami bay. Course menu at the restaurant was of a good value and quality. Drinks are set for reasonable price. The entire complex is covered by free wifi. The down side is that this place is a bit isolated, good 15 minutes of steep hill walk to the nearest shops. Best hopping onto a bus which runs every half an hour.
