Where to begin... This is a brand new hotel, made from the bottom to the top to highlight the Japanese culture and authenticity. The rooms furnished in a Japanese traditional way. The breakfast is an exploration to the unique Japanese cuisine. It has a Japanese bath with special stones and it is located a minute walk from the impressive Naritasan Shinsho-ji and right behind it you have the relaxing and dreamy Naritasan Park. The staff are exceptional. I won't forget the service and the respect we received. To summarize, this is the holy trinity whether you just arrived or departing via Narita airport. Or just looking for an alternative to the busy city. Unforgettable experience!

“Best choice for Narita layover?”

I really don't understand why there aren't more reviews of this excellent little hotel. Most of the options right next to Narita airport are pretty uninspiring, and it takes only a few minutes longer to go into Narita village, a bustling and slightly touristy (albeit mainly Japanese tourists) but … lisää

I really don't understand why there aren't more reviews of this excellent little hotel. Most of the options right next to Narita airport are pretty uninspiring, and it takes only a few minutes longer to go into Narita village, a bustling and slightly touristy (albeit mainly Japanese tourists) but lovely place. The only reason to stay closer to the airport would be if your stopover is quite short and you have no time for anything other than a few hours of sleep. Waking up early here due to jetlag is just fine, it's lovely to walk along the deserted streets before the day-trippers from Tokyo start streaming in. The Naritasan complex of Buddhist temples and gardens, just a block down from the hotel, is well worth a visit. The Waqoo seems primarily marketed to Japanese, but they were perfectly friendly to us, and their English was much better than our (nonexistent) Japanese. It does adhere to Japanese cultural conventions (don't even think about wearing your shoes into the rooms), but that seems like a reasonable thing in, you know, Japan. We didn't get time to use their onsen but that seems like a bonus after a long flight.

Fantastic property in a wonderful location minutes from the Shrine. Modern, sparkling clean with wonderful staff. We stayed in a tradional room, very comfortable in the main street of Narita with the wonderful shops and dining options walking distance away. Loved the Onsen on site, very enjoyable … lisää

Loved the Onsen on site, very enjoyable Wonderful service, the provided us with tea whilst we waited for our flight after we checked out. 5 stars
