“Good location with lake view. Hotel is a bit worn down though”

Location is good. Our room had lake view so is quite beautiful. Staffs are friendly but hotel is rather old and need some rework. Otherwise food, both dinner and breakfast is not bad and good value, Onsen is alright too.

Clean dated traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with traditional Japanese fine dinning dinner and breakfast. Our room comes with lake view, quiet and beautiful. Food and service was good. No complaint since the price was really cheap. Always see someone complaining the traditional Japanese hot spring hotels are dated, PLEASE ask yourself how much you pay. The price includes fine dinning. It's about quality of food, NOT quantity. Can you get a hotel room with fine dinning of same quality of food with the same price anywhere else? This is a very unfair comment to this hotel. The rule of the game never changes: You have to pay for quality.

Traditional onsen hotel with valet parking. We booked both dinner and breakfast, so during check in, we have to choose the dinner time slot and the breakfast slot. Our meals were in the dining hall. Traditional onsen hotel with valet parking. We booked both dinner and breakfast, so during check in, we have to choose the dinner time slot and the breakfast slot. Our meals were in the dining hall. We were in awe at the dinner spread. For those not too adventurous, the Japanese traditional food may not be appealing. We tried and enjoyed the food. Breakfast was also served in the same dining hall. Bath has to be taken at the onsen. From our room, we can view the 8:45 pm fireworks, or we can choose to take a few minutes’ walk to the lake to watch the fireworks. The room is big, but after setting up 3 futons, there is barely any walking space. We had a comfortable night sleep.

We were a family of 4, with two kids (14 and 17) and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There were yukata's in your room, and they were all very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were included with the room, and they were both Japanese style with more than ten dishes, unlimited rice and the choice of cold water or tea. The friendly staff will help you set up your bed in your room while you are sleeping. The onsen is split into four different pools, the outdoor, 38-39 degrees Celsius, moderate heat and high heat. The rooms have a view of the lake and is a good vantage point for the 8.45 fireworks.

The hotel has is aged. The basement of the hotel looked right out of a movie setting in the 1980s. Though old, bed and tatami in the room is quite comfortable and it offers an fantastic view of Lake Toya. The fireworks that go on in the night around 845pm are quite underwhelming. The hotel offers a nice and big onsen which you need to pay a fee to use it. The dinner was quite nice.
