We chose this hotel because this hotel is on Morioka station. You don't have to go outside of the station to enter the hotel lobby. We chose this hotel because this hotel is on Morioka station. You don't have to go outside of the station to enter the hotel lobby. It is a bit old hotel, but the location distinguishes from other hotels in Morioka. The price is reasonably set, I guess the main target is business trip guests, but definitely, you can use this hotel for Morioka city trip. if you want to buy some local sweets just go down, there are many shops open late. Local food restaurants are around station, famous Morioka reimen restaurant is just 5 min walk, Wanko soba is also 5 min walk. Breakfast was served in Chinese restaurant in the hotel. There was a bit of Chinese taste but you can get good local food as well, which is nice. The room space is average but bigger than Tokyo hotels. our room had train view, that was super nice. We spent half hour just watching trains.

The hotel is certainly very adequate and of course very convenient, but having stayed at some other more modern Metropolitan hotels, like the ones in Sendai and Kamakura, this was very spartan and far from special. The hotel is certainly very adequate and of course very convenient, but having stayed at some other more modern Metropolitan hotels, like the ones in Sendai and Kamakura, this was very spartan and far from special. It’s actually hard to believe that they are in the same hotel chain. We wanted to eat in any of the hotel restaurants but they were fully booked and would not make any exceptions for hotel guests, but being around the holidays I guess that’s not too surprising.

“Comfortable hotel with awful wifi ”

This is a standard Japanese hotel . Clean small to average size, bath and shower with toiletries provided. A good variety for buffet breakfast of Asian and western food. WiFi is awful especially when trying to work. Good central location.

Best thing is the location but the room is so tiny. I travelled with a small roller bag and it was a challenge in terms of where to put it in the room! Best thing is the location but the room is so tiny. I travelled with a small roller bag and it was a challenge in terms of where to put it in the room! The rates were high in terms of what was provided. There’s an excellent yakitori place worth visiting. Good food, very pleasant staff and ambiance (pleasant jazz music in the background). It’s a small place run by the male chef and 3-4 young staff - all helpful and obliging. They have an English menu so you can be assured you don’t eat something you don’t like. I’ve stayed away from yakitori places for years because it’s like Russian roulette not being able to read the Japanese menu. Also at this place you don’t walk out smelling of your dinner. Good sake selection available. How to find this gem: from the hotel lobby, turn left and walk towards Daiso. Across from Daiso you’ll see a huge Korean restaurant. This lovely yakitori place is next to the Korean place. Has white lanterns on the outside. A good alternative to all the seafood.
