“Easy access to the temple.”
Great location close to the temple and main shopping street. The onsen has a great outdoor space and multiple pools with different temperatures. Very comfortable rooms. Little difficult to get in and out of with a large car but doable. Would stay here again.

“A beautiful old property in a terrific location, with excellent food.”
We drove to the hotel and found it a bit tricky to find the entrance. Some signs aimed at foreign visitors would be helpful. Once there, however, we had a delightful experience. “Best ryokan for taste”
This is an onsen hotel that caters to Chinese-speakers I think. Upon entering, I was greeted in Mandarin by one of the two hostesses. One is from Kwangtung and the other is from Taiwan. “A perfect place to experience the whole Japanese way of relaxing and sleeping.”
After a long day on the road and walking the 785 steps to the Kompira-Gu Main Shrine it was a very pleasant experience staying at this Hotel. “Fabulous stay and well located”
The staff here are so welcoming, courteous and helpful.
