“A must visit in Ibuski”

Having an in-room onsen tub was a plus for a quick dip. The sand bath is a wonderful experience and tasting various Shochu after the onsen was a treat. Visiting the Satsuma museum is also a must. Service is also very friendly, attentive and efficient

“Great hotel,friendly staff”

It's better to be famous than to meet. I feel at home when I step into the hotel. All the staff are very polite. The room is very large and comfortable, and there is an incomparable sea view. The only drawback is that there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby.

Staff responded and resolved the late evening incident quickly (blown fuse - there was a warning saying the water kettle and hair dryer were not to be used at the same time in the room . What were the odds). Dining at the Fencie was good. Plenty of choices at Buffet breakfast. CON: Set menu at Fencie was good. The first couple of courses sat the experience in an upward path. But pasta with meat sauce and the stew wagu kind of broke the flow. I am no dining expert but pasta arrabiata and seared wagu steak maybe more suited.

Our stay was spoilt by bad information about the shuttle bus. We had to email the hotel to find out about the shuttle bus service from the station on arrival. Our stay was spoilt by bad information about the shuttle bus. We had to email the hotel to find out about the shuttle bus service from the station on arrival. When we checked in, we asked in both English and Japanese about the morning shuttle bus to the station. We were told it was a continuous service between 9 and 10 - we asked for clarification and the information was confirmed. When we had finished check out at 9-05, we were told that the shuttle bus had left at 9 and the next one was at 10-10. As the train we wanted to take was at 10-05, we had no choice but to take a taxi at a cost of nearly 1200 yen. On arrival at the station, we reviewed the train times and it doesn't even seem that there is any correlation with train departure times. Your hotel advertises a shuttle bus service and it is really difficult to find any information about the times the bus actually runs. You need to make this much clearer on your website, on booking confirmations and at the hotel. Unfortunately this spoilt an otherwise very enjoyable visit. The room was excellent with a beautiful view, the baths were lovely and the food was very good. Apart from the bad information about the bus service, the service was good.
