I am currently staying here on my way to Yaku Island. After being here for awhile, I am already used to the quality of Japanese service and this place measures up to those standards. I am currently staying here on my way to Yaku Island. After being here for awhile, I am already used to the quality of Japanese service and this place measures up to those standards. Though a bit long in the tooth, my small single room was clean, with wifi, frig, telebi, and quiet. The onsen was small but old style which I like and the water was hot enough and the facility clean. Towels were provided also. It was on the top level which was nice. The front desk folks were efficient and spoke adequate English to a non-Japanese speaking Japanese American. I asked for a non-smoking room when I booked and it was provided. It overlooks a beautiful Shinto shrine and a nice park is across the street. It is close to the Tenmonkan area with lots of restaurants and convenience stores. Pleasantly surprised and happy this worked out.

Location is very good, on walking distance to central shopping area. Large western-style rooms, with firm beds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Ofuro on eighth floor. Good value for money. Breakfast too expensive at 2160¥, both western style and Japanese. No serving of drinks or coffee in the nice… lisää

Breakfast too expensive at 2160¥, both western style and Japanese. No serving of drinks or coffee in the nice lounge near the reception. In general the hotel needs a makeover, but it is clean. Noise may be a problem because construction-works just started on the neighbor-plot. Big drills, cranes and excavators are ready on the plot.

“Decent stay”

This hotel was average in all areas, it gets the job done. I picked this hotel because of the free parking, but then realised parking around kagoshima are quite cheap and plentiful , so if I have known this I would have stayed somewhere newer. This hotel was average in all areas, it gets the job done. I picked this hotel because of the free parking, but then realised parking around kagoshima are quite cheap and plentiful , so if I have known this I would have stayed somewhere newer. The hotel itself was dated, the rooms were nostalgic. It was clean, but just dated. Everything works fine, the small onsen was pleasant. The younger gentlemen at the front desk was friendly. It was around 7 min walk to the tenmokan dori, so it wasn't bad. However I would pick something newer with a cheaper price , and there were other choices closer to tenmokan. I didn't try their food so can't comment.

“Helpful hotel”

The reception staff spoke reasonable English and much better than my Japanese.we had booked a Japanese room which was exactly what we got. We had booked meals at the hotel. We can not really comment on the meals because at times we had absolutely no idea either what we were eating or how to eat it.… lisää

The waiting staff spoke no English and other than please, thank you , I don't understand we spoke no Japanese. The waiting staff tried their best as did we and we muddled through with every one laughing. There was no bar as such but after dinner were happy to serve drinks to us in the hotel lobby.i think if our Japanese had been better it would have meant we would have enjoyed the stay more.every one tried their best with us and to make us welcome.
