Excellent service and location. I would like to thank Ms. Nishido for helping me keep the same room when extending my stay and for providing information about nearby places, as well as Mr. Inoue and the reception team, who were always ready to assist. However, I have a note regarding the hotel restaurant: on my first day, I went there for lunch and found that all the main courses—beef, chicken, and fish—contained pork products. Given that the Marriott group usually accommodates guests with dietary restrictions, I hope the menu can be improved. Another issue concerns the laundry facilities; for such a large hotel, there are only two washing machines, making it difficult to find a slot to do laundry, and the price is higher than at other hotels—this situation needs to be reconsidered, as it was very inconvenient

“Excellent hotel”

Just finishing four nights at this hotel. We had two rooms with our two sons. Clean and modern hotel with great staff. Excellent location. Very spacious and well appointed rooms. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott ,Kyoto for six days ,after some early reluctance, and were not disappointed. We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott ,Kyoto for six days ,after some early reluctance, and were not disappointed. We had a very warm welcome at the reception and even before our stay the Front office manager was very courteous while replying to my emails. You can't beat the location of this hotel. Other than being meters away from the subway station of Shijo on north to south line and Karasuma on East to west line , there are convenience shops, many restaurants, super markets etc within walking distance. It is only 1.3 KM from Kyoto station ( about $!0 by Taxi). I felt sorry for people carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs from the subway. There is a lift in subway if you use EXIT 4 , to come up to the street level. Our room was a larger double room, very clean and quiet although the hotel is on a busy street. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the linen was changed daily. We had breakfast daily at the restaurant. The main concern is that there are very few choices for cooked food and no change from day to day. If you are vegetarian you would have hardly any hot food to eat. However the restaurant staff was very polite and efficient. Special thanks to Ella who spoke perfact English. The hotel has Microwave and Water station on a few floors as well as commercial washing machine and dryers , which is a big PLUS. We enjoyed the Coffee and matcha tea from the free Coffe machine in the lobby. Overall good value for money and I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Not bad but not great . They gave me a closet of a room which I made do . No room upgrade or free breakfast for platinum elite members. At check in they asked if I wanted a larger room for a fee. In almost 900 nights staying at Marriotts I have never been asked to pay for an upgrade. Also I could n… lisää

In almost 900 nights staying at Marriotts I have never been asked to pay for an upgrade. Also I could never get the internet to work. Room was clean and location was good.
