“Japan tour”
Agree with the other reviews as this is a very well located hotel with most of the necessities, but definitely only 3 to 3.5 stars. But more than adequate. Breakfast is also above adequate. The sum up is; we would stay there again if visiting Kumamoto.

“Excellent except for the bed”
This hotel was very well located, it was spotless and well run, very reasonable price with a good breakfast. The bed was simply too small for the two of us so not a good sleep. Staff were great, probably the best English speakers we came across. Got us extra pillows

“Basic but comfortable and excellent location”
As so often in Japanese cities, this hotel was not easy to find. It's on a narrow street off a large covered street which in turn is off the main drag in the centre of the city, not far from the bus station. It's a 10-minute tram ride to the railway station. “very cramped room for a double”
always good staff in Japan - this room, unfortunately, had a very cramped feel, the shower curtain smelt damp and this filtered out - we stayed in many different budget hotels this trip, as overnighters, and i looked at all the layouts which were similar but this one just seemed airless and the bed… lisää

“simple place, comfort rest with average cost/perpormance”
