I'm a bit surprised by the low rating this hotel is getting. Okay, Iga Ueno is a small, historical city and I thought this hotel was perfect for this class of city. First, the rooms are dated, but nothing is broken. This is Japan, so everything is perfectly clean, beds were comfy and I got a perfectly warm shower. I personally loved the really old school radio that was built into the wall. It's location is just two blocks from Uenoshi metro station and a nice walk to the Iga Ueno Castle. The front desk spoke excellent english and even helped to point out an amazing restaurant. Free wifi and free coffee use of the coffee machine in the lobby. And did I mention, absolute value for money. I would definitely return.

“Good location”

We appreciated the central location this hotel, close to the station and local restaurants. Although not really a top class hotel it provided facilities which much more expensive hotels do not, for example a trouser-press on each floor and a coin-op laundrette on the top floor, with a vending mach… lisää

We appreciated the central location this hotel, close to the station and local restaurants. Although not really a top class hotel it provided facilities which much more expensive hotels do not, for example a trouser-press on each floor and a coin-op laundrette on the top floor, with a vending machine supplying beer, sake and soft drinks at reasonable prices. The restaurant was functional and provided nice food, Japanese-style only breakfast, lunch and dinner. Should I return to Uenoshi I'd happily stay here again. By chance we were lucky to be here during the Danjiri festival, which was wonderful to behold.

“Somewhere in the centre of attraction with reasonable price”

Stayed there at the beginning of the March, 2015 together with friend and family without prior booking(walk-in). Stayed there at the beginning of the March, 2015 together with friend and family without prior booking(walk-in). Staff is courteous enough to offer their service even thought with language barrier (limited English understanding). There is also fine Japanese restaurant inside the hotel offer a good dinner and breakfast meal. But unfortunately, we need to rush to train station and not able to taste it. Hotel is so good to offer some rebate on our hotel prices. Although it not a bid deal but it showed the good ethical of Japanese doing their business. Location of the hotel is about 10 mins walk from the train station which appeal to me when we crashed into the hotel without prior booking. If you need to be visiting many attraction point at the same time very near to the bus/train station. This place is ideal choice for you.
