“Amazing place to relax and lovely food”

We stayed at this Ryokan for three nights on our honey-moon. The place itself it lovely. Classical Japanese rooms, nice Onsen and the option to go to an even nicer option at their sister hotel. We stayed at this Ryokan for three nights on our honey-moon. The place itself it lovely. Classical Japanese rooms, nice Onsen and the option to go to an even nicer option at their sister hotel. You will definitely be able to relax here. While the Ryokan is great by itself, the food is at least as great if not even better. We had a different menu of beautiful and tasteful Japanese food with lots of local flavors every evening. The staff is very kind and provides the best service you can wish for.

Upon arrival, we were met with hot tea and a sweet treat while our luggage was brought to our room. The house, rooms and location were all lovely. The staff were all smile and serviceminded. Upon arrival, we were met with hot tea and a sweet treat while our luggage was brought to our room. The house, rooms and location were all lovely. The staff were all smile and serviceminded. Food was beautifully presented and although very traditional japanese, it was a bit too traditional to our western palate. Amonohashidate is amazing, but be aware that everything os closed by 5 pm, restaurants included. The reason this traditional ryokan does not get top score is due to all the rules you have to obey as a guest.

“Good location”

We graded this hotel as “good” mainly for the location and the view of room that we booked. We stayed with the room facing the bridge that we could see the bridge moving. And it’s easily access to train and bus stations as well as the sightseeing ferry pier. Room is not too big but good enough.… lisää

We graded this hotel as “good” mainly for the location and the view of room that we booked. We stayed with the room facing the bridge that we could see the bridge moving. And it’s easily access to train and bus stations as well as the sightseeing ferry pier. Room is not too big but good enough. The toilet and bathroom are tiny. Meals (both dinner and breakfast) were so so. Honestly, a bit behind expectation.

“Love the view!”

Just like what the name says, all the rooms have a view of the rotating bridge. The ryokan is right at the start of the Amanohashidate sandbar so it's very convenient. Just like what the name says, all the rooms have a view of the rotating bridge. The ryokan is right at the start of the Amanohashidate sandbar so it's very convenient. Bicycle rentals can ve found at the souvenir shop opposite or after you cross the rotating bridge. Of course, the dinner and breakfast did not disappoint. The staff can only speak basic english but I managed to get by as I can speak a little japanese myself. Didn't have much problems with check-in or meals arrangement. The onsen was quite tiny. There is an arrangement where you can use the bigger onsen at their sister ryokan (Monjusou) just 5 minutes walk away. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go over that night as it was closed.
