“Good business hotel”

A simple business hotel that gets the job done! Clean and functional. Breakfast was alright as well. There are eateries around, and a 7-11, as well as bus stop for buses to Shirabidaira Ropeway Station. Would recommend for those heading Komagatake or Senjojiki Cirque

Stayed over for a night as it was one of the hotels nearest to the shuttle bus terminals to get to Komagane. Stayed over for a night as it was one of the hotels nearest to the shuttle bus terminals to get to Komagane. Location wise, very convenient, only about 10 minutes drive to the bus terminal/ bus stops. There is also a COCO curry restaurant just beside or if you can take the car out, it will be just a few minutes drive to many sauce-katsu don places - this is famous in the area. It was a little pricey considering the current situation but at least everything was clean. Size of the rooms were standard Japanese size. Free parking too. There is a manmade onsen on the ground floor. Seems just like a big bathing spa though since the onsen isnt natural. Went at a good time and the onsen was empty. That was good. Covid-19 prevention was good, plastic disposable hand gloves were provided for the breakfast buffet in the morning. Overall, just another normal Japanese chain hotel but the location made up for it, if you are heading to Komagane.

“Clean and modern”

Everything in the hotel is sparkling clean and modern. The typical room has a comfy semi double bed and has a large window giving you view of the surrounding mountain ranges. They have a coffee machine at the first floor and a smoking room. Breakfast is available.

This Route Inn was similar to the one other Route Inn we stayed in in the past. Mai at the front desk was wonderful. This Route Inn was similar to the one other Route Inn we stayed in in the past. Mai at the front desk was wonderful. She had excellent English (she mentioned studying - [or working] - in Canada) and was extremely helpful in answering our questions and calling taxis for us. The rest of the staff was helpful as well, but Mai stood out. At check in we were told our twin room was one of the big rooms. It was at the end of the hall with a view to the mountains over the nearby shopping mall. We found our rooms to be small, however, and we had to climb over our luggage when we had it opened up on the floor. Any longer than two nights in Komagane would have been too long in these cramped quarters. Coffee was available in the lobby at all times and breakfast was included in the room rate. Typical Route Inn breakfast, nothing special, but free. The public bath was a welcome treat. The area off the baths had a coin operated massage chair and foot massage. Small lockers, with the set your own combination feature, were useful. A coin operated washer and drier were in the dressing areas. The hotel is a long somewhat uphill walk from station, especially if you are dragging rolling luggage, get a taxi. Any place we wanted to visit required a taxi ride which added a bit to the cost of our stay. There were a few restaurants within walking distance where we ate dinner.

“Kind of 2 stars inn hotel just good for ine night sleep over”

Even though they have space in this city, the rooms size and especially the bathroon size are ridiculous. Difficult to get in the bathroom as you are blocked by the toilets. Internet cable but no wifi, otherwise room is equipped correctly. The breakfast is of course only Japanese style. So I would … lisää
