“Lovely onsen ryokan”
This onsen ryokan was the most charming and lovely of all the inns we stayed at during our 3-week trip to Japan. The indoor and outdoor baths were wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. “Great Experience and hospitality ”
A friend organised and planned our trip we were a family of 4 with 2 adults and two teenage kids. Great place to stay as a family and also for a couple! “A great experience”
We stayed a couple of nights at the Ryokan Sugimoto to experience this part of Japanese hospitality. As you'd expect, the service is outstanding and discreet, the rooms were comfortable (in the Japanese minimalist style) and the onsen was small and well maintained. “Absolutely amazing experience!”
If I could give Ryokan Sugimoto more than 5 stars I would. We spent 2 nights here and were amazed by the experience - the staff were lovely and spoke English as much as they could (which we did not expect!), the rooms were large, quiet and beautifully clean and the food was outstanding. “Fantastic place to stay ”
On the first day of our motorcycle tour through Japan, we rode from Tokyo to Matsumoto. Aside from the fantastic ride, we ended up at this great Ryokan.
