“Great hotel up the road from the station. Higher floors are better.”

Originally we were allocated a room on the 4th floor which was supposedly deluxe. It absolutely was not! We asked for a bigger room and paid the extra and moved to the 11th and top floor! It was then amazing. We had a massive room with separate bedroom with 2 double beds. Large bathroom and an extra loo as well. Amazing views towards Mount Fuji which we saw on one of our days. It is very elusive! The staff were lovely and helpful. Lovely, clean and spacious. Laundry service or machines on 7th floor to do your own which is very handy and well used. 5 minutes walk from station. Go out North Exit, you will see McDonalds opposite. Turn right and it’s on right hand side in the Plaza Verde complex, next to the Pizza restaurant. An excellent choice and a wonderful hotel. Will use this chain again. Highly recommended. Just a note there is a kettle but you have to get your tea and coffee from reception. This is supposedly for you to interact with the staff but this is not how it works. They don't speak a lot of English, there may be a queue, you may want a drink before or after you are dressed. It is not helpful at all and most unusual. Everybody else manages to give you drinks in your room. So do remember to take them up with you when you are passing. The staff are lovely though.

“Our best stay in Japan”

After 6 weeks of travel we look back and remember this hotel most fondly. A new setup with professional, friendly and helpful staff. They were very helpful in contacting Yamaha and helping to arrange a visiting time of the factory. Our room was very comfortable, well equipped and well laid out. The breakfast, started from 6:30, with a good variety of quality options including the local specialty of Horse Mackerel! Even Mt Fuji was visible (one one side, of course) to add to the overall experience. A good base from which to travel one train stop to the pretty town of Mishima and the bus from in front of the other side of the Numazu station down to the port area.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the overpriced Hakone/Gotemba region and settled for Numazu. Numazu is a town that is a convenient 20 minute drive away to Gotemba. The hotel is situated beside a convention center. There are not many restaurants or amenities nearby but there is a convenience store across the road in case you need to stock up on food or necessities. The hotel appeared quite new and modern. Rooms were adequate and comfortable. The lobby is on the second floor of the building and the staff were all friendly and able to converse well in English. We did not try the breakfast but I believe it cost about 1000 yen or so per person. It is on the ground floor restaurant. Parking costs about 1000 yen per day in the carpark behind the hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you are in Numazu. Ask for a room with a view of Mt Fuji!
