We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is conveniently located. Our room was very clean and comfortable. My husband has difficulty falling and staying asleep. Our room was a bit too noisy for him, however it was perfectly fine for me. Hotel staffs were very understanding and accommodating, our room was changed immediately upon our request. We paid for room that has washer and dryer which is very convenient. However, when we checked out at 11 am on Tuesday November 4th, a staff member who helped us was quite rude and unfriendly. She couldn’t manage to crack a smile or tried to be helpful. It was as if we were bothering her. There was a lot of difficulty communicating with her which is completely understandable. We have encountered many staff members whom we had difficulty communicating but are extremely nice, friendly and courteous. Her poor attitude was such a turnoff

“Best feature is the in-room washer/dryer”

Convenient and basic hotel, with a quirky upside-down layout that at times can be confusing - the Lobby is actually on the top floor, as is the pay-to-use lounge/breakfast. Convenient and basic hotel, with a quirky upside-down layout that at times can be confusing - the Lobby is actually on the top floor, as is the pay-to-use lounge/breakfast. Great views of Osaka, and the adjacent freeway. Rooms are clean and spacious but spartan. Best feature is the in-room washer/dryer. Bathroom felt cramped. Surrounding area is quiet, mostly businesses. 10 minute walk to Hommachi station then one stop on Midosuji line to Dotonbori if looking for more nightlife. Also close to Namba station. In summer or inclement weather, suggest walking across the street to Semba building, there’s an underground passageway to the metro station and some nice independent shops for souvenirs, unique finds, and the like. Reception will ship your luggage to your next destination, but you must prepay in cash. Breakfast can be confusing, as the available dishes are spread out and some areas are off-limits as they’re part of the pay-to-use lounge. I wish they’d group these together, so they can cordon off a whole section rather than having breakfast in between everything (I missed where the coffee / juices were, on the first day as a result). There’s a free-to-use secure luggage storage on the ground floor but be aware this is unsupervised (though the area seems very safe).

“Clean, new and modern hotel near the entrance of the Shinsaibashisuji.”

Convenient, modern and comfortable hotel with great value. The build looks somewhat new and modern since the rooms were so clean compared to a few other Tokyu Stay hotels that I have stayed in. Convenient, modern and comfortable hotel with great value. The build looks somewhat new and modern since the rooms were so clean compared to a few other Tokyu Stay hotels that I have stayed in. As always, it’s so convenient to have an in-room washer/dryer so you don’t have to pack a whole lot and can buy more things on your journey. The only drawback back for me was that the closest train station was a bit of a walk but the hotel is still near by the Shinsaibashisuji entrance so you can walk from the start all the way down to the Dotonbori, Shinsekai and Kuromon Market. The fitness center isn’t really a center, it’s a room with 2 treadmills and an elliptical and an area to stretch out or so some yoga. It’s pretty bare but still it’s nice to have since other Tokyu Stays don’t have this feature. My wife and I would come back again anytime.

“Disappointing”

1. I was bitten by something - left 3 red dots in a line 2. The firt night receptionist refused a simple request like extra pillow, had to ask someone else the next day to get one. I've stayed at different Tokyu Stay in Tokyo, this request was always granted except Osaka Hommachi.
