“Amazing beachfront hotel with HUGE rooms.”

We stayed at the Karatsu Seaside Hotel/Resort for only one night but WOW what a place - we should have stayed for 3! After 25 trips to Japan the rooms are the most spacious I have every stayed in - without doubt. The main living area, the separate bathrooms/shower rooms and the huge balcony all had amazing 180degree views across the azure bay and down to the infinitely pools. The bar fridge was full and all drinks complimentary. We unfortunately only stayed over night so didn't use most of the facilities. The dinner buffet was extensive and brilliant including the local specialty odorigui squid brought to your table. Will definitely go back for sure.

“East wing is a must stay!”

We chose this hotel as part of a stopover, so we could visit nearby Yobuko (to eat squid). Looking at the Japanese travel sites, it was unclear to me what the difference was between the east and west wing, but I'm so glad to have chosen the east wing which turns out to be their newer addition with … lisää

We chose this hotel as part of a stopover, so we could visit nearby Yobuko (to eat squid). Looking at the Japanese travel sites, it was unclear to me what the difference was between the east and west wing, but I'm so glad to have chosen the east wing which turns out to be their newer addition with premium amenities such as a communal onsen bath by gender and a co-ed rooftop thermal pool/bath that you can go to in your bathing suit. This hotel appears to be owned by DHC, which is a Japanese cosmetics manufacturer because everything in the hotel bears their brand. The nice thing is that their products are very stellar and they are readily available. The communal bath is particularly well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial wash etc. They also have a full spa facility with steam and dry sauna, aromatherapy rooms etc It was also a pleasure to have access to the beautiful baths and pool almost exclusively. We spent a lot of evenings after dinner soaking on the rooftop, listening to the sound of the waves. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk away from the center of the city, but it is a beautiful route that takes you past the castle. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

“Nice hotel with good onsen”

Stayed for two nights here. Room is very spacious with sea view balcony. The best part is the onsen at hotel, with different treatments. Food is average. There is a convenient shop in 5 minutes walk. Think it will be better to visit during summer time.

All the rooms are Ocean View and the hotel is surrounded by old pine trees that are registered by UNESCO, so the view from the room is amazing. You can take a walk seaside and in the pain tree :) I recommend you to stay at least 2days. 1 night is not enough relaxation. DHC (Japan's big cosmetic maker) is running this hotel, so all the amenities you can use are DHC products. I loved especially their facilities, Spa, Gym, Pool. Outdoor-pool is opened during summer only. Rooftop-pool and indoor-pool are open the whole year and they both have a heating system so you can swim any season. Breakfast - Buffet ( Japanese & Western dishes) Spa - You can rent swimwear and use Spa from 5:30am-12:00am There are 4 kinds of Spa you can enjoy and heal our body.
