Upon arrival, check in was a breeze. You scan your QR Code then speak to a representative on the provided iPad via Skype. Once the agent confirm you, you get your key codes for your room. The rooms provided everything we needed (Family of 4. My husband, 18 yr old son, 12 yr old daughter, and myself.) Refridge w/ freezer portion, sink, pots/ pans/ dishes/ utensils, stove top, kettle, microwave and Toaster oven. A table, couch, and Murphy bed which is pretty awesome, and 2 twin beds put together (it’s the equivalent size of a king. My daughter fell asleep on it, and all three of us was able sleep comfortably.) I appreciate the toilet room and the shower / bath room being separated. There is also a washer/ dryer machine in one. Room also comes w/ tv, safe, drawers, under the bed storage (this is where we kept our backpacks and purchases.) Lots of plugs. (They do not have 3 prong plugs, only 2.) Although it’s a “Studio” like room, the lighting is efficient (there are lights over the bed area, kitchen, dining area. This is great if you wake up 3-4a and don’t want to bother the others sleeping lol.) AC gets cold. You are very close to 7-11 and family mart. (Both about a 5 min walk.) My only complaint is, we all only had 1 pillow each lol. They give you an option to purchase additional towels if you need, but not pillows. This is not a big deal if you have less than 4 people OR only need 1 pillow lol. Overall, I will definitely be back for future trips. Minn in Kappabashi was a perfect fit for my family and made our trip comfortable. :)

Stayed five nights in this property December - January 2023 / 2024. The hotel is a multi story building in a quiet neighborhood. Check in is all through QR code, I do not think we have seen a single employee other than cleaning staff. Check in instructions were clear and effective. Rooms are on the smaller size (average for Japan). Our group of four + luggage struggled a bit in the tight space. Beds are comfortable, everything was clean, working conditions. It felt fairly modern / renovated. Washer and dryer were all functional. The kitchenette was stocked with necessary plates and utensils, but drying them was an issue - there is simply not enough space on the counter. Had some odor coming through either outside or through HVAC system. Maybe there was a restaurant below, the smell of beef stock was almost pulpable when we opened the window to air our room. It was really on and off, not really sure about the source. Similar issue with the shower room. The hotel is about 10 - 15 min walking from Ueno train station, about the same distance to the nearest subway station and to Asakusa shrine. I think the hotel is perfect for a small family or for a shorter stay. My family was more like four adults, we would have appreciated more space. Nice and comfortable space otherwise. Value was good.

We stayed for 10 days in the 2 bedrooms apartment, spacious and equiped with all the amenities for our family of 5. It is within walking distance within 10 mins to the local Tokyo metro stations, surrounding by local eateries and konbinis. It is about 15-20 mins walk to Sensoji Temple and Nakamise shopping street. The only issue we had was the cleanliness is below satisfactory, the apartment didn't feel like been cleaned properly prior the check in day, very dusty carpet. We found rubbish and food crumbs under the sofa bed, not a good sight. Washing machine filter was fully covered with lint. Kitchen pots and cutleries were not cleaned properly, some had tomato stained. Otherwise, we really like the area, not on a busy street and it is along the Kappabashi street, where is the heart of kitchenware town. Car rental companies available around the corner. You can take an airport limousine bus from Narita Airport and alight at the Asakusa View Hotel then walk about 10 mins to arrive at Minn and vice versa.
