We had a cocktail-making masterclass at The Duke for a hen party, and it was fantastic from start to finish! The barman was great fun and made the whole experience really enjoyable. The cocktails were delicious, and it was such a lovely touch that they were inspired by the bride. The light bites they provided were also excellent and complemented the cocktails perfectly. We never felt rushed at any point, which meant we could relax, have fun, and really enjoy the experience together. It was a brilliant activity for a hen party, and I'd highly recommend it!

From the moment we arrived we knew from the warm welcome at reception that this hotel was special. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast we had ever had. What really made the difference to our holiday was the staff. Without exception they were friendly and helpful. A special mention for the gentleman called Craigan who really was outstanding.

We have just spent 4 nights at the Duke. Our experience was a very good one. The hotel is located in a nice quiet area close to Candie Gardens. Our room on the 4th floor had a wonderful view of the harbour. The bathroom was equipped with a heated towel rail and blue lighting facilitating easy access during the night. Tea, coffee, bottles of water and biscuits were replenished every day by the very efficient cleaning staff. The breakfasts and evening meal in the Dax were of a high standard provided by the very friendly waiting staff. The cosy and atmospheric lounge bar was a very welcome addition too.

My wife and I had four nights at The Duke at the end of May. From check in to check out everything was really impressive and we had a most enjoyable stay. My wife and I had four nights at The Duke at the end of May. From check in to check out everything was really impressive and we had a most enjoyable stay. Our room was a very good size with a large, comfortable bed and very nice, modern bathroom. Tea, coffee and drinking chocolate supplies were replenished daily together with biscuits. There were also bottles of still and sparkling water available free of charge. Breakfasts had a wide variety of hot and cold food and the two evening meals we had at the hotel were excellent with a good choice on the menu. All of the staff were very friendly and a credit to the management of the hotel. We would thoroughly recommend the Duke with the only little proviso that the uphill walk back from the town and seafront could be challenging for anyone with limited mobility
