My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel for four nights prior to taking a seven night cruise on the Mekong River. We picked this hotel for the excellent reviews it receives, and it's associated history. We were not disappointed. It is not a large hotel, therefore it can offer you the personal touch. The staff are exceptionally professional and attentive - right from our arrival until our departure every single member of staff was exceptional. The history of the hotel and it's architecture offer a charm of their own, with the lift ( from 1932 ) being a very nostalgic focal point. The black and white decor within areas of the hotel harks back to a bygone era, but the wonderful designs and colours illustrate the French influences. We really enjoyed the pool area. It offers a wonderful, calming, private respite after a hard day in the Siem Reap heat and humidity. Our room was a Landmark King. It was exceptionally comfortable, with a shower in the bathroom in the absence of a bath. The shower cabinet was large, with a rain shower and hand held option. The staff serviced the room twice daily to a very high standard. The morning breakfast spread was fantastic. The fresh fruit, juices, pastries, cooked, cold options were excellent. Dinner in the 1932 dining room was of a very high standard. This hotel has charm in bucket loads. The history and nostalgia are part of it's DNA. However, the hotel does not rest on it laurels, it actively promotes the warmth and charm of the staff to make you enjoy your stay. We certainly did, and were reluctant to leave if the truth be told! It was our first visit to Cambodia, and to this Raffles Hotel and we could not praise both highly enough.

I’m writing this review on our last afternoon at this fabulous hotel - in my opinion the best in the world. This was our 4th visit in the last 3 years and this time we stayed even longer than before - just under 3 weeks. I’ve written about the hotel in previous reviews and everything I’ve said before about this fabulous hotel holds true. If anything, it’s even better especially the food in both 1932 and Cafe D’Angkor- both exceptional. What I want to highlight again, is the amazing team led by Joseph Colina. The team are exceptional - every single one of them. I won’t single out anyone because you can’t. Every interaction with housekeeping, the bars and restaurants, the team by the pool, the front desk, the butlers, the concierges, the spa, the doormen is exceptional. I think the truly amazing service is partly down to the warmth, kindness and care of the Cambodian people. As I have said before in previous reviews, don’t just visit Raffles Siem Reap for a couple of days. Instead come for a couple of weeks and take your time to see the vast Angkor Wat Archaeological Park (each time we find a new temple that we have not been to before) and the beautiful town of Siem Reap, and then lounge by the truly enormous pool at the hotel by the afternoon. What could be better?

We stayed at the Raffles Grand Hotel D'angkor in December and also in May 2025. From the moment you enter the hotel, you are made to feel welcome and part of the family. The hotel rooms are spacious and well appointed, the hotel itself and surrounds are beautiful and I loved the large swimming pool. The hotel is close to a large supermarket and pharmacy, and it is a delightful, easy walk along the river to Pub Street and other eateries, food stalls and shops, and there is a large, beautiful park over the road. We loved the food served in both restaurants, and particularly loved breakfast time with all the choices of food available. The staff all around the hotel were great and we loved that after day 1, our breakfast coffee and juices were remembered and served once we sat at our table. Particular mention must go to Enyeng (I hope I spelt his name correctly?) who took such good care of us at breakfast and made us feel part of his family. He was so attentive to all our needs. We look forward to returning to Cambodia (and particualry to Siem Reap) soon and staying at the Raffles will be high on our list!

We felt like a riyal couple during our whole stay. We thank Nith particularly who was our server most of the time at the restaurant, but we also thank all the rest of the staff who was awesome too! They all were really dedicated to us. We highly recommend the Grand Hôtel d’Angkor! Simply MARVELOUS!
