Great amenities, well thought out. We loved the steam shower feature. The jetted spa was in disrepair but the engineer came out and got it semi-functional, sans missing parts for valves. The room door would not close by itself because the wood had split and the door screws were coming loose. The stereo hookups were disconnected. The dishes were all badly chipped, with sharp edges. Please note: this condo falls under the "legal description" of being slope-side, but it is a significant walk with your gear to the lift. We had to either walk up a steep slippery slope and then about 100 meters to the lift, or along an icy sidewalk the same distance. Treacherous either way!

Overall, a great condo let down by lack of maintenance. Overall, a great condo let down by lack of maintenance. The reception staff were friendly and helpful with all the issues we raised but lack of communication with staff meant things were not fixed very rapidly. On arrival we were only given 4 key cards for the party of 5. The coffee machine was not working and although coffee filters were supplied they were the wrong sort. This one was fixed quite quickly and the coffee supplied was good (organic Macch Picchu). There was no floor cloth. There was a serious lack of crockery and cutlery such that we couldn't all have a hot drink at the same time! There were only four bath and four small towels. When we mentioned this we were sent the bath towels and 4 more face flannels. Several of the lights didn't work, including a strip over the seating area with 5 or 6 lights non of which came on. At one point all our cards stopped working as they had been coded to expire way before we were due to check out. As others have mentioned, if there is snow this is ski in but not quite ski out - a 50m hike takes to a run down to the base lifts. As others have mentioned, this is a great place to stay but given the cost it should have been much better.

We've just left Red, staying at Slalmon Creek Lodge. 10 night stay and despite quite a few quirks we had the best time, a really unique and awesome family holiday. We've just left Red, staying at Slalmon Creek Lodge. 10 night stay and despite quite a few quirks we had the best time, a really unique and awesome family holiday. We specifically were looking to get off the tourist beaten track and this place definitely ticked that box. The apartment was 4 star. We were in building C and you really want to make sure you have the slopeside mountain view, it's awesome and the hot tub was great!! Clean, the bedding and linen was average but the kitchen well appointed. The ski locker a great set up. Location is a ski-in ski-out. The skiing is incredible, we loved the terrain and we had all weather conditions. Not a single queue! Has a really lovely low key, community feel to the place. Food options on mountain are limited but very good. Keen coffee at base area is the best! Pro rentals very good, we appreciated the very good service from the kiwis and aussies. Great range of equipment. Didn't appreciate the change of pricing on Ikon pass holders half way through the week, but that was beyond their control. The quirks. Without a car it's very tricky to get in and out of town using the shuttle that runs on a very limited timetable. Red management, you really need to sort this out. Getting groceries in town is a hassle. Going out for a meal is a real hassle, unless it's a Thurs/ Fri or Sat night going out in town is complicated...getting home! There is no uber, very limited taxis. Thank goodness for the Josie Hotel, we dined there ALOT but it was expensive. Very good but overpriced for what it is but we were so grateful to have it. Rafters bar is great but food and final drinks at 5 pm! So too early to have dinner! Big Red Cat Skiing was a highlight, Really great! Pricey but worth the experience and guides were great. I imagine we will be back some time again in the future. Thank you Red Mountain but PLEASE fix your transport for tourists so we can keep visiting. The town of Rossland is great, we had lovely meals at The Flying Steam Shovel and Gabriellas.
