We got a 2 queen room, it was very spacious with a sofa, an armchair, a desk and 2 chairs, and plenty of room in between. It looks renovated. Very clean. I was impressed. The location is central - easy walk to the Forks as well as rest of downtown. There was a train right in front of our window, but it didn't bother us at all. We always keep a low volume sound machine on at night anyway for the kids. The free breakfast was sufficient with hot and cold items. We enjoyed it on all 3 days. Definitely great value!

Great stay, staff was friendly and got us checked in quickly. Room was great nice and clean. The location is nice and close to the arena.

“Photocopying credit card”

During check-in, I was asked if the hotel could photocopy my credit card as part of the $200 security deposit process. I declined, and the staff respected my decision they did not photocopy it. During check-in, I was asked if the hotel could photocopy my credit card as part of the $200 security deposit process. I declined, and the staff respected my decision they did not photocopy it. However, I was surprised that this was requested in the first place. I’ve stayed at many hotels that require a security deposit, but I’ve never been asked to have my credit card photocopied. I’m genuinely curious about the purpose of this policy, especially when the deposit can be handled through a standard pre authorization on the card. It would be helpful if the hotel explained why a photocopy is requested and how guests’ financial information would be protected if they agree to it.

First time visiting Winnipeg for a show, and I wanted something relatively central. After reading the reviews, this hotel seemed like a decent option — however, it’s definitely a budget-style property. The location is great and very convenient, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel itself feels well past its prime and in need of a serious refresh. The rooms and public spaces are dated, and the included breakfast was very basic. I mainly used the room just for sleeping, but was surprised to return after 4 p.m. both days to find the room hadn’t been made up at all. Overall, while it’s budget-friendly and the location can’t be beat, it’s not a place I’d likely choose again in the future..
