“Good for the night”

Our bus group stayed here for a night last week. Hotel was clean and everything needed was in our room. Restaurant served good food with friendly staff. Good place to stop.

This hotel is excellent for the price. Located on the trans Canada highway a perfect stop for an over night stay. There is a gas station and a Tim Hortons within the parking lot. This hotel is excellent for the price. Located on the trans Canada highway a perfect stop for an over night stay. There is a gas station and a Tim Hortons within the parking lot. We didn’t spent a lot of time in Clarenville but did visit the market next to the hotel. A great way to talk to the local artisans. The hotel has a restaurant off of the lobby. We had the breakfast there. It was well priced and tastee. They offered a choice of meat with breakfast; ham,bacon,sausage and fried bologna. I chose the bacon but I wish I’d tried the bologna.

“A good nights sleep...”

This past September my wife and I enjoyed Newfoundland as part of a Senior's Discovery Tour. We spent one night at the Clarenville Inn. “Convenient location with good restaurant”

The location is great if you want to break up the drive on the Trans Canada Highway, as it's right on the highway. And, although this means you can hear the trucks roaring past if you have a room facing on to the parking lot, I have to be honest and say I didn't notice this overnight. The advantage… lisää

The location is great if you want to break up the drive on the Trans Canada Highway, as it's right on the highway. And, although this means you can hear the trucks roaring past if you have a room facing on to the parking lot, I have to be honest and say I didn't notice this overnight. The advantage of a room on the 1st floor facing the highway is that you can drive up to the room to get the luggage in and out, otherwise it's a long corridor inside. The room was great, really clean and comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect. The fridge is hidden away behind the pale green bakelite-looking furniture that looks like it's from another era, but was great to see. The bathroom was tiny, but looked recently re-decorated and was spotless. The hotel does cater for bus tours, so you might need to book a slot in the restaurant if you want food : I had the salmon which was good, although the rice was sticky. The restaurant does have some good views, though has a strange mix of booths and oddly mismatched wooden chairs, some without cushions, so be careful where you sit. I had bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes and excellent toast for breakfast, which I couldn't fault. Overall, a great hotel, but felt possibly a little expensive for what's essentially a road side motel with a good view.
