This place is elevated. Extraordinary food. And a service only fitting of it. The serving staff know the caliber of the plates they are placing in front of their guests. There is dignity. This place is elevated. Extraordinary food. And a service only fitting of it. The serving staff know the caliber of the plates they are placing in front of their guests. There is dignity. This place is elevated. A very interesting aesthetic exists here. Cafeteria-like chairs/tables against a back-drop of rich dark post and beam ceilings…and great hearth and moose head hanging there. It is hard to reconcile. They will change a table’s linen in front of guests but serve with grandeur and grace otherwise. And the natural water of this place (the table water) cold refreshing with elements and minerals undiscovered yet. It’s to die for. This place is elevated. I say well done!

We arrived at the property just after 3PM and our reservation was processed quickly. We were lodged in the remote Caribou Pavilon, some distance from the main hotel. Took some time to find the right pavilion and parking area. The room was modern and spacious with all the amenities. We had reserved dinner at the Hotel restaurant and it was a long walk (Steep downhill) to the main building. After dinner it was dark and the road back to our pavilion was very dark and difficult to navigate.

Beautiful area, professional and friendly staff at the reception. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Regarding the restaurant’s experience I have to admit that we were disappointed: the offered breakfast was nothing special and at 8.30 the cheese platter was already empty and not filled up again. Coffee is served all the time but if you ask for another tea they just fill up hot water without a new tea bag. Jam and honey is always offered as little plastic packages which causes a lot of plastic litter and is not really nice to look at. For dinner we were placed in the separate dining room which was almost empty apart from 2-3 more occupied tables. Our waiter was not very talkative rather snippy. Was this due to the fact that we were not fluently speaking French ? In summary: it is a nicely located place, worth a visit but with place for improvement especially in the restaurant service.

The rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Check in odd as we were there after 4, but our room was not ready. They moved us though with no issues. Outside is unimpressive with weeds as your landscaping and no flowers. We had the 3 course diner and breakfast package. I would not recommend. The food was not presented in a gourmet manner and the halibut was only a 3 oz overdone dry chewy portion. I told the waitress twice and she ignored my comments. The desserts were unimpressive and so so as well. I was so annoyed that I canceled our dinner and when into town. That restaurant actually knows their business. Odd also having to book your meals as if your are hiking it is hard to sometimes gauge your time. We went outside to have a drink on afternoon on their patio and waited 20 mins before going inside as there was not service. Breakfast was ok fruit was nice but not a 4 star buffet. You only got scrambled eggs and you had to pay extra for a fried egg etc. Usually, in better buffets there is a egg station for everyone. I additionally rated the resort with issues and management did not acknowledge either. It seems they use the location, as their driver and don't try hard to impress.
