What a lovely hotel in a great location. Right in old Quebec City, close to restaurants, attractions, beautiful neighborhoods. Safe and clean. Comfy room and helpful staff.

This place was the best and I can’t say enough good about Rasheed. He manned the front desk with a winning smile and he helped my sister and I several times (to navigate parking, find a good restaurant, etc). The room was very comfortable, quiet and well stocked. We didn’t need anything and no one bothered us. And the location could not be beat - right behind the Chateau, so very easy to get to the lower town, or up to the Plains of Abraham, or to the middle of the upper town. The price was right. Everything until the very last day was perfect. There was one irritating event - the gal at the front desk around dinnertime was on the phone for more than 15 minutes (around 6:pm to 6:15 - when I left so it was longer but I don’t know how long). She was talking to a customer while NINE people waited to be helped in the lobby. All were waiting patiently but losing patience. I finally found out from someone else how long the desk would be manned that night so I could leave and come back later. It felt very unprofessional of the employee to talk and talk and talk and talk and talk to someone without at least recognizing that folks were waiting and letting us know she’d be with us soon. I hope she gets retrained. Otherwise, this was an absolutely perfect stay.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Manoir Vieux - Quebec during my trip to QC. The location of the Hotel was very good close to the Chateau, shops and restaurants. The staff were really friendly in particular Monsieur Samuel who was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The only complaint I have of the Hotel is the room is pretty small, the steps up the Hotel is difficult to manage when you have several pieces of baggage and the shower is terrible. We were on the 3rd floor and the water pressure was so bad it was like having the shower in the kitchen sink. Apart from that, the breakfast provided was standard and all in an average hotel.
