Auberge du Lac du Morency was the perfect destination for a memorable family winter getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The snowy surroundings were absolutely magical, offering beautiful views and plenty of space for kids to enjoy the winter wonderland. The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a day outdoors. We especially loved the activities available nearby, ideal for families traveling with children. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. It’s a wonderful place to disconnect, recharge, and create lasting winter memories together.

“Winter Snowshoe Vacataion”

We stayed in the apartment type units, on the hill, in unit 102A in the lower floor and it was lovely as a winter vacation for us. We stayed in the apartment type units, on the hill, in unit 102A in the lower floor and it was lovely as a winter vacation for us. We snowshoed (or walked) on a different trail every single day, all a short distance from the resort. The one bedroom was a great place to come back to, and sip our afternoon mulled wine. The room was clean (even the bathroom shower corners). The supplies were generally sufficient. Kitchen had very little cupboard space, but a big new fridge, where we stored EVERYTHING of ours. Stove was new as well. Dishes for 6, decent pots, coffee machine, salt/pepper. Bedroom heat took a while to figure out, but we were cozy in the unit even though temperatures hit -20 celsius. Bed was ok, but the supplied blankets were kind of old and anemic. Soundproofing is excellent, even the snowmobiles on the road were barely heard in the unit. Didn't use the pool or sauna this time. Surrounding area; First night we participated in a torch lit walk in Prevost and at the end were served warmed red wine. Nice, but way too short walk. We snowshoed at Mt. Tyrol, Alfred Kelly Nature Reserve, Lac Morency Resort and the Sentiers ecologiques Saint-Hippolyte. Small hills everywhere make for intermediate hikes - bring poles. With exception of Alfred-Kelly, the trails are lightly used and we met about 3-6 people on each hike. Alfred Kelly was well used, and if you're hiking in the snow,,,bring cleats. Lovely woods, hills and trails. Very little wild life. Highlight was a Pleated Woodpecker who hung around posing for our cameras. Shopping: Stores are all in St-Sauveur. Visit Bourrassa, as its a different kind of grocery store with TONs of cheese. Jadis is one of my favourite Rock Stores, with an outstanding collection of crystals and stones. Cons: Unit: Lower floor unit, so its dark most of the day. Only missing items were no coffee filters, only one coffee pack, no tea, and no dishwasher supplies.
