I stayed at the hotel for 7 weeks in 2014. I am currently back at the same hotel and have been here for 10 weeks. I will remain here for another 7 weeks. The hotel is 5 star, with a good range of food choices for breakfast. The rooms are big and spacious with conference facilities to host large parties of 500+. The spa is luxurious. They have an indoor hetaed pool and outdoor pool. There is a 5 lane indoor bowling alley, with snooker, table tennis. There is a full sized tennis court and basketball court.

I was on a business trip and stayed overnight at this hotel. It is a grand hotel as you walk you it looks like the Venetian Hotel in Macau. The hallway is grand and beautiful. The rooms are incredibly big and you can have twenty to thirty people stand inside just one room. Overall it is good but if you are looking for a more western style breakfast the morning buffet will turn you off. It is a good hotel but very far away from a lot of places to visit.

I stayed in this hotel for a month during August 2014 during my business trip. It is far away from the centre, nothing much happening on the island where this hotel stands, close to the airport though. The staff was super attentive and willing to help, they spoke so so English, usually there was one person during each shift who spoke well. No matter what, I feel like it is my other home, if you are nice, wishing them good morning and talk to them in easy English, they will be amazing and friendly. The pool and gym... Well I didn't try it, it didn't look that nice. Room - better to ask for the pool view. The room service - the food was not really good, take a cab and go somewhere else. Nicely equipped rooms, big enough. Wifi working everywhere without problems. Special thanks to Andy, Becky, and Double.

The Country Garden Phoenix Hotel Changsha is a grand and extensive complex. Spend half a day just exploring all the corners of this opulent display of grandiosity. The Country Garden Phoenix Hotel Changsha is a grand and extensive complex. Spend half a day just exploring all the corners of this opulent display of grandiosity. However, despite the huge rooms, international TV stations, enormous bed etc, it is very tired and showing signs of poor maintenance. A walk along any corridor will reveal peeling wallpaper, rising damp and failed light globes. never the less, if your planning on entertaining a football team in your room... this is the hotel you want! A range of OK eating options are in the lobby area. Otherwise its a taxi to anywhere.
