My first visit to Guiyang and what a grand Hotel I get to stay in. It just looks so modern and beautiful from both outside and inside. The restaurants are opulent, lobby is grand and the breakfast spread is amazing The airport is 30-45 mins away and is quietly located in a back lane from the main street. The club rooms are very subtle yet colorful and modern equipped with the best fixtures I definitely recommend this hotel to try out compared to the mutinational chains available as the front desk is very cooperative and speak decent english.

This is my third time to Guiyang to visit my best friends! I didn’t make a booking but arrive to hotel directly, then I met Mr. Lucien who was busy at front desk. He recognized me immediately and came to say HI! This really surprised me cuz he rememebered guest which only came twice! Mr. Lucien did a really good job and introduced me a lot fun to do in Guiyang! Definitely will come back again! And now The New World Guiyang is my always choice :)

My friends invited me to having a buffet dinner @ New World Hotel Guiyang, Taste (Wei) Kitchen in recent. The experience to us were unexpected, disappointed and shocked. The story is during the summer school holidays in China, the NWH had held a buffet dinner promotion in price of CNY ¥258 for 2 adults 1 child. Guests are requested to pre purchased dinner coupons online that entitled to take buffet dinner once till end of August 2018. I believe due to this low price scheme that carries huge number of customers for dining. In fact, the Taste kitchen (coffee shop) had exceeded its regular capacity.The buffet was started at 6 p.m. We were seated at 6:30 sharp but the restaurant was already full house. The foods were somewhat emptied, we must queue in for foods picking. The juices dispatcher also lack of concentrated juices. That we should take can softdrinks (sprite or fanta, no coke) instead. The buffet that provided Western, Chinese, Japanese dishes also local hot pots. Unfortunately, the quality of foods were absolutely much much below stars ranked hotel standard. Which only supplying the quantities but not quality. The restaurant was in chaos with massive no of guests, some of them were smoking in the corner of restaurant. From the atmosphere to culinary there were nothing meet of our expectations. It's one of the most horrible terrifying dining experience in my entire life. Believing that I would dare not to have any lunch or dining buffet in there again. Although I have had accomodated in New World Guiyang for several times also much likely recommend of its elegant comfy hotel rooms, warmly services with comprehensive facilities. Please excuse that I would never recommend this in-house buffet dinner to anyone.
