The hotel’s eventual solution made us feel relieved in the end. Luckily things didn’t develop into more complications. About the room: the room was cleaned very well. You can tell from the decoration that it is indeed a big brand hotel. All the facilities are of good quality. And although it has been opened for some years, the hotel has done a good job in maintaining and caring for it. The only drawback is that the charging plugs near the bedside are few. About Dining: There are many options for breakfast and the varieties change every day, as well as the special snacks of Guiyang. About the Executive Lounge: There are not many snacks for afternoon tea, and the variety of tea bags available was small. The good thing is that the scenery was very good, suitable for a afternoon break. The quality of the light meal in the evening was very good, especially the flavor of the curry chicken. It was particularly authentic. I heard the waitress say that this dish was made by the Head chef. It was really good. About the management: the room was cleaned in a timely manner. Our request on the room’s need was also responded in time. About the handling of the emergency: in the very same hotel we experienced two versions of emergency handling approaches. Upon our request of learning about what really happened, the response that we got was only trying to smooth things over, while dodging the truth and beating around the bush. This approach successfully irritated all of us who were involved. After we repeatedly requested to see the manager in charge for more than an hour, the Front Office Manager Sean Wang came to us. In the initial communication with Manager Wang, it was not very smooth, but after he understood the whole incident, he was able to look at the situation from our perspective and proposed the corresponding solution. An incident that was about to escalate again slowly cooled down. The consequence and impact of the event was minimized. In the end, we felt a gratifying sense of being respected and treated with proper manner thanks to Wang. Sean Wang deserves a thumb up praise for his work and his professional attitude towards the guests of the hotel. Our good impression of Kempinski remains intact because of you. Thank you!
